I work at the Pagoda in Patterson Park and if we get very busy I have to use this counter. We are aloud only 25 visitors at a time at the top. This counter is very simple to use - adding and subtracting. You can silence the beep if you like. This item even came with 2 extra batteries. It is well worth the price.

Too NOISY!!Looks like a great item, and it counts accurately.....but I was horrified when I finally got it, that every button pushed is accompanied by a LOUD beep. Very inconvenient in any kind of a group setting. On the other hand, it would likely be drowned out by simultaneously using a loud siren, a chain saw, or operating near a jet engine at full power.

After scaring my dogs several times I covered the speaher hole with several laters of masking tape, much better. But the problem honey now is every time I push buttons to count up or down I have to push the on/off button to shut it off. Sometimes it doesn't count up until I push the on/off button. When counting up then ttrying to count down it doesn't always work. I had to clear the count and start over.If this worked it would be great. I've been looking for a counter like this for a while. Just sorry I found this one.Update: After using this counter a bit I have learned how to work it a little better. I still have it muffled to keep the sound bearable but otherwise it's bearable. Yes it's quirky and you have to get used to it, but it does count up AND down so if that's what you want it will work. I really want the count down function so it's worth it to me.On a side note, the vendor contacted me offering a refund and apologizing for not meeting my needs. Instead I decided to update my review because honestly I want to keep the counter. It's not perfect but few things are and it does work.

Buttons are not well placed to use while moving around

The product is good, it does what it promises, but the first time I used it the beep made me jump, and the dog jumped up and ran off. It's that loud. If it did not have the loud beep it would be perfect, but as it is I can't use it. A shame really, as the loud beep is unnecessary.
