Metra CHRYSAV Chrysler RSE A/V Harness

I did not need to use an additional module or splice anything to adapt the factory rear view camera on my 2009 Ram 1500 to my new head unit with this harness. The instructions say you must use their module, and you have to ground the three leads to get thus to work, but not in my experience. I am only using this to connect the rear camera input, not the AV output. I am using a cheap CarPlay unit that has the rest of the Ram harness built in. The only thing it didn’t have was the adapter for the existing backup camera, and this works great to make the connection.

Great product, great handling, perfect fit

A leading car audio website wanted $45 for a very similar harness. I wanted to buy from them but this was less than half. I can confirm it retained my back up camera in my 2014 Chrysler town and country when I upgraded it to an alpine head unit with apple car play.

This only connects the factory backup camera but not the rear dvd system to the aftermarket stereo.

This was the correct harness for an 08 grand Cherokee. Easy, straight forward install
