Dr. Oetker Bitter -Almond Flavoring Essence -4 Pack

My husbands grandfather brought a recipe from Germany for Christmas Stollen (a bread, with a predominate flavor of almond). This recipe calls for this ingredient, I have made it without it but it doesn't taste the same.

I bake often gluten free muffins and coffee cakes and this gives a full flavor do that otherwise less flavorful cake dough. My European mother and grandmother used the same drops In my childhood home. I was very pleased when I found the same drops in here. I can highly recommend to try though I add a little bit more than mentioned in the instructions.

I bought this bitter almond extract for the amaretto cookies. It’s very good. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is it’s hard to get the extract out of the tube and the cap is not very secure. Once you open the top, you have to use it all. Can’t only used half & save half.

I bought two packs of these BITTER-ALMOND flavorings. This is the first time I have bought from Euro Food Mart and it is also the last time. Product arrived but the BEST BY date has expired on one and the other expires within 30 days. NOPE .... I will never be a customer again.

I love this. It is pretty strong. I will buy more, because, I can never have too much almond flavor...or at least, I haven't yet...

This is the real deal. I've made several batches of cookies and pudding with just the one dropper, thus far. Potent and delicious.

Don't let the "bitter" in the title sway you, the almond flavor this oil provides is completely sweet and wonderfully almond-y. It adds a very nice strong almond flavor with only a few drops. It is a little difficult to get out of the tiny vials; I use the tip of a toothpick to loosen the drops that won't drip out of the opening. I've used it cookies and frostings, but my favorite use is to stir a few drops into a sour cherry jam. MMMmmm-- instant almond-cherry jam.

Soooo much better than almond extract! Worth the extra cost.
