Good Value for Quality memory.
I used this 16GB kit to upgrade the memory for a 13 inch early 2011 Macbook Pro. Apple advise that the maximum memory for this model should be 8GB, but Crucial's memory scanner correctly advised that the configuration for this model will accept and utilise 16GB. The process of upgrading was simple and took less than 10 minutes, assuming you know how to use a cross head screwdriver (10 screws - make sure you know which holes to put the 3 long screws back into!). Everything has worked flawlessly since and there is now no 'lag' when a number of applications are open.

Excellent Investment for old laptop which can go with 16Gb.
The first thing which I would love to write is it's truly good investment than buying low spec windows machine. THE MOST IMPORTANT, it certainly works with windows. Being, a computer engineer myself and now again graduate student at UCD. Please don't be sceptical that it won't work with windows. As per computer Architecture, it makes no sense why it won't work? First thing first, if you have made your mind to buy it. You should not call for Technical support and stay in the queue because they don't know themselves what they are talking about. The simple way to figure it out; just know what motherboard your machine has? If its an Intel one, then you will know everything within a second. All you have to do, look for system properties and find your motherboard name on Google; follow the Intel website detailed specification. Next, know the exact frequency and type of RAM(DD3/4) as that's most important while considering any type of upgrade for your machine. Once done with that, go ahead order it. The last tip, if your computer is too old. Consider changing your old mechanical HDD to SSD. This will still cost less, you can still live with your computer for 3 more years. Later, have the best machine with high-end spec at low cost. Hope this helps!

Easy to fit, plug and play.
Like everything about this product. It is backed by excellent instructional video directions for fitting. Fits perfectly first time. Has transformed the operation of my ageing iMac. Wished Iโd upgraded years ago but thought it might be beyond me. Wrong! Itโs simple if your machine is the one with the removable grill on the bottom edge, or possibly the removable trap door on the back. Did but the anti static bracelet just to keep the chips safe.

Good little upgrade
Installed these on my 2010 Imac. Very easy to install. Has made an improvement on handling a lot of applications at a time. Has it made the computer any faster? it has a little but not a great improvement. Unfortunately its the same old thing with Apple where the software outstrips the hardware at a lightning pace meaning I will probably have to submit to a complete upgrade in a year or two as believe new quad core processors will improve things a lot.

Quality at an affordable price.
I wanted to upgrade the Ram on my 27" iMac as it's performance was beginning to deteriorate a little. Initially I had attempted to save money by buying cheaper brands of RAM modules but this proved unsuccessful. The first pair of modules that I bought, from a high street retailer, were not the right spec's even though I had been assured that they were (I'd not taken my glasses with me so was reliant upon the salespersons advice), so these needed to be returned. The second pair that I had purchased were remarkably cheap and would have been great if they had worked but one of the two modules was faulty so these were also returned. Eventually I saw sense and ordered this pair of Crucial RAM modules (which exactly match the pair that I had already installed). Delivery was very quick, the modules were well packed and there was no problem with installation (the cheap modules had been a very tight fit into the RAM slots). I ran various tests on the modules once they were installed, including the Apple Hardware test and Memtest and they passed with flying colours. Going by the previous pair of Crucial modules that I installed just over 3 years ago I do not anticipate any problems arising. I can also rest easy in the knowledge that Crucial offer a lifetime warranty on their memory modules - unlike some manufacturers. So, whilst I'm sure that many people will have had success with buying and installing other brands of memory modules into their computers, from now on I will only be using Crucial. This is based on the fact that (touch wood), I have not experienced any problems with their products to date and, when it comes to price, they might not be the cheapest on the market but with modern technology you do appear to get exactly what you pay for.

Great product and easy to install
I bought this memory top up for an old iMac and it was so easy to install. The pc is working faster now and I feel impressed that I could install it myself. Much easier than trying to install an external hard drive. This brand is a quality brand that I have used before. Highly recommended.

Much improved performance.
My son's Macbook Pro (2011), with its standard 4GB of RAM just couldn't cope with a professional music writing program and kept locking up all the time. With a deadline fast approaching I ordered this 16Gb pack which was delivered on time, having paid the extra for next day delivery. It was easy to fit (having had some experience replacing parts on my daughter's Macbook!). My son's Mabook booted up without any problems and he's found the additional RAM to be a revelation in terms of increased speed and smoothness of operation. Fortunately, he managed to complete his music project before the deadline. Unfortunately, it now looks like I'm going to have to upgrade my daughter's Macbook as well!

Avoid this company Komputerbay at all cost!
Awful company - avoid at all cost! I ordered the 16GB MacMemory (2x8GB modules), but they sent me 2x4GB modules, i.e. 8GB, not the 16GB I had ordered and paid for. Their mistake. Simple solution you may think, me too. Well, not so. Firstly they are almost impossible to contact, and when I did they merely said to return the memory - to USA - at MY cost!! They said they would not even refund the considerable postage costs for return to USA. Never once did they apologise or admit they had made a mistake. I even suggested that they send the 16GB that I had ordered, and then I would return the 8GB to them. Again, they refused that. They have basically ripped me off, pure and simple. I think that firstly they hoped I wouldn't even notice that they'd sent the cheaper product in place of the 16GB. Secondly, I suspect they knew that I would not be prepared to return it to USA at my cost and so they would get away with it. Throughout the whole episode they were extremely unhelpful, unfriendly and dishonest. Companies just cannot afford to carry on business this way these days - you will get found out!! I contacted Amazon for help. They were friendly and helpful but ultimately completely useless. They appear to have no control over this company either. So, I'm left with 8GB in my machine, not 16GB. In case you're wondering about the product itself; it works, perfectly, I can't fault it, other than the fact that it's only half the product I ordered and paid for! Furious!
