CollonilLeather Shoe Polish 1909 Crème de Luxe

Great product. Recommended by friend that knew that I was putting some work into a few new pair of Oxfords. I only used on the flaps so they wouldn't crack. Soft cream, but when buffed up nice it produces a good luster.

I wish I had before and after photos to show how much this helped my cat-scratched sofa. Smooth a dab of this over the scratches and small tears, rubbing along the directed of the scratch so that you press the torn bits back into place. Press down fairly hard but only in that direction. It makes those scratches practically imperceptible. I was incredibly impressed! Smooth it over the entire sofa to clean away dirt and bring back the suppleness. You don't need a colored polish, this clear polish is perfect for cleaning, restoring, smoothing and protecting without messing with the colour.

Works well on leather sneakers. Shines and covers scratches.

I needed a colorless polish for a scratch on my leather bag (along with some leather cleaner/conditioner) and this was the only colorless one I could find. It did a really good job of softening the scratch up.

It really gave that final touch to my CAT boots which were really scratched, the Burgundy is really dark, but I like it. Would also recommend aplying after using a type of oil, mink or else.

I have gone through about 6 jars of this in the last many years and I cannot live without it. No matter what else it does for leather, I use it for a warm shine. It is not a traditional polish that you apply to a brush. First, use a horsehair brush and go over the shoes to remove any dirt, etc. Then, use a rag and take a VERY tiny amount, like the size of a pencil eraser, and spread it over the entire upper. Very little amount. You should not see excess white cream after application. If you can see the leather has something damp on it, you added the right amount. Did I mention to use a very little amount? Let dry for 15 minutes. It actually would not even take that long as so little has been applied. Then, brush with the horsehair prush or a cloth. Panty hose works well for the final puff. Really. Buy some ankle length hose from Dollar General and put them over your hand like a mitt. Boom! Beautiful shine. I do not call it "Magic shoe pudding" for nothing.

I'm happy with this product. Very pricey, but it's hard to find shoe cream in burgundy and this not only restores the colour but also leaves the leather well conditioned.
