As an artist these books save me from going to life classes,the photo's are outstanding and varyed with many different poses and they last a lot longer than 1 to 5 minutes, thank you, keep up the great work.

Bel Ami Maybe My Love is a worth successor to Thoma's previous work with the models of the Bel Ami Studio. Looking forward to any additional volumes.

Another beautiful book by gay publisher Bruno Gmunder. And as collectors of Bruno know, his books come in all shapes and sizes; this one is 9x9, just to add a bit of confusion to your book shelf. This beautiful volume of photos of Bel Ami models is by Benno Thoma and I think mainly shot in South Africa, featuring many of the stars of their porn spectacular "More Than You Can Handle" which certainly lived up to its title. Mr. Thoma is a first-class photographer (eg Bel Ami Around the Globe) and this current work is another classic, filled with shot after shot of hunky young men in all their glory. The color reproductions are simply gorgeous and there is a nice proportion of "soft" and "hard" photos to please all tastes. And I was more than pleased to find at least a dozen shots of my favourite Bel Ami model, Roger Lambert, solo and with friend, showing off his beautiful blond looks and one of the most impressive and fattest cocks in gay porn. A work of art and so is this must have book!

For those yet unfamiliar with the Bel Ami name and what it stands for, a bit of background information is useful: `Bel Ami is a gay pornographic film company with offices in Bratislava, Prague and Budapest. It was established in 1993 by filmmaker George Duroy, a Slovak native who took his pseudonym from the protagonist Georges Duroy in Guy de Maupassant's novel `Bel Ami'. In addition to hardcore DVDs, Bel Ami and Bruno Gmünder Verlag also produce calendars and photo books and its performers are frequent headliners at nightclubs and similar venues around Europe, the United States and elsewhere. Bel Ami has employed hundreds of actors over its history. This book is one of Bel Ami's strongest with photographer Benno Thoma capturing all the beautiful young lads in partial and full nudity, alone in pensive moments and together in sensual moments. At times he is able to give the impression that the models are completely unaware of the camera while at other times the models seem to be preening for the spotlight. This is about the beauty of youth and the innocence of youth, whether enraptured with a found partner or gazing longingly for intimacy. These models are as close to physical perfection as possible. I find that ALL BelAmi has to offer is two dimensional young men,Yes,they are gorgeous,but hollow,and uninspiring that is what I get when I look at their books,and or movies.I much prefer men or young men,with "flaws" makes them real and desirable to me.

Of course, with guys as sexy as the Bel Ami models, it is hard to go wrong. But there is something special about this book. People sometimes say "why could you possibly want to be gay"? This book would be part of my answer because it contains the best of male beauty, at once innocent, natural and emotionally, as well as physically, seductive. There are in these photographs, technically excellent and never gimmicky, portraits of men who are at ease with themselves and each other and whose sexuality and sensuality are worn naturally and beautifully. The physical dimensions of the book are attractive: a good quantity of photographs but in a book that is not the size of a small table and does not weigh a ton. In short, this is sufficiently different from previous Bel Ami books both in presentation and impact to make it a worthwhile addition. Or a great place to start.
