Men's Swiss Army Style Watchband - Color Brown Size: 19mm Watch Band - by JP Leatherworks

My watch is a Timex Expedition that came with a leather band and has had one previous band replacement of all leather. What made the replacement necessary in each case was the cracking of the band, always in the same place. It appears the leather stiffens over time and sooner or later it is necessary to replace it or it will split. When the second band started splitting, I ordered this band, even though I could have gotten another all-leather Expedition band for leas money, because it appeared from the picture that there was a mesh section in the band just where I have had problems. Now that I have the band on my watch, I can confirm there are mesh sections on either side of the watch. With the mesh, I should not have the problem experienced before, and also the band fits tighter on my slim wrist because it is more flexible. As my leather band aged and hardened, it became very loose on my wrist. I do not expect that to happen with this band thanks to the mesh section.I should also mention that it is a good looking band. Looks as good as my previous leather bands.

This watchband is a decent cosmetic replacement for the original, but nothing special. Color and fit are fine and it looks close enough to stock to be serviceable. It is, however, altogether cheaper in material quality than an original Swiss Army band. Not that a nylon-web and leather trimmed watchband speaks quality when new, but this one is still a bit low-end. The leather is less supple and thinner than the original. The metal clasp is thinner, with sharper edges. Even the nylon webbing is thinner than the original. Naturally, we expect it will be less durable than the the original. But, for an older watch, that we weren't ready to replace, it should be OK. NOTE: be sure to keep the pins from your old band to re-use, as they are not included with this band.

I needed to replace the watch band on my Swiss Army watch and took a chance on this replacement band. While it is not as nice as the original it is a very good replacement. While it lacks the embossed markings like the original that is about the only major difference. The quality of the leather appears to bit a bit thinner but as long as it holds up who cares. The color of the band is nicer than the original but we will have to see how it holds up over time and daly use.

Good quality compared to the factory band. Not meant to last forever but good enough value to replace periodically.

We were disappointed with the watchband when it arrived. It is not the quality that it appears on line. It is overpriced for what you get. It also doesn't come with new pins for putting the watchband on. Since one of the pins in the old watchband had been bent , not having new ones posed a problem. We ended up having to go to a jewelry store just to try and find new pins. This band wasn't worth the hassle. If you have pins and maybe want it for a teenagers watch it may be ok. We are disappointed.

I have 2 watches with this band on both. After 5 years I finally had to replace one. That's pretty good service and value. The second band is still going strong.

The watch band is nice the only problem is it is a little short for me.I am at the last hole. If it was another 2 holes longer it would be 5 stars

I needed a brown nylon watch band to fit on my older Casio Hunting/Fishing Ana-Digital watch. It has a brown bezel and I was looking for a brown band. This one was the only one that matched my watch perfectly. It is a quality made band and very nice looking to boot.Only wish it came in other colors for later needs. Highly recommended.
