I read dozens of reviews about these until settling on this one. It has been a fantastic add-on to my Dodge pickup. The enormous blind spot these trucks have behind the tailgate was a problem and this was the solution. It was easy to install, the picture is HD and flawless and everything has worked exactly as described. Great value, quality construction (the windshield mount is incredible) and straight-forward instructions with video backup if you need more help. This is the one you want if this is what you need.

I bought this camera to replace a cheaper one that I had installed on a Ford F-350 pickup truck that I use for plowing snow ; I have bought three other Yakry cameras from this vendor and have been very happy with them. The cameras provide a very clear picture and are stable even on bumpy roads. I drive pickup trucks and often need to back up to hook up trailers or park in a tight spot. These cameras enable me to do so without worrying about hitting something. I can back my truck right under the trailer hitch with no problem thanks to these cameras. I strongly recommend them.The installation is not too hard if you have basic wiring skills. You will need to connect the camera to your backup light circuitry. I use shrink warp connectors to keep them water-tight. The hardest part is finding the correct wire. I also recommend connecting the display monitor to the backup circuit wiring as opposed to using the cigarette plug-in connection as I didn't find it convenient to keep plugging the monitor in when I needed tp back up. I also installed a piece of plate metal over the camera to protect it from people stepping on it.All-in-all, the system works great.

The package includes everything you need to install the camera and more.... First thing I did was test it with a battery I had on my workbench as recommended in the instructions. It worked excellently. Great picture. I installed the camera on my Ford Ranger. I was able to splice into the license plate light wires simply using the T splices provided. I can then turn on the camera any time by turning on the lights on the truck. Connect the red wire to a positive wire on vehicle and black to ground on frame or ground wire.The short weather proof antenna wire and poser cord extra length is simply secured under the bumper with the provided cable ties.The monitor can plug into a twelve volt socket in truck cab or hard wire, the wires to do these are included. The plug has an on off red light indicator / button which is very convenient. So I can power on the camera with the dash board light switch and power on monitor with the plug button....or turn them all off. The picture comes on in seconds. I think I accidentally unpaired the camera to the monitor Camera 1 pic. I then accidentally paired camera to Camera 2 on monitor... if you have 2 cameras you can pair them both and switch between cameras or have them on split screen. To pair the camera to monitor start the pair process on the monitor and then power up the camera.I had to pair the camera back to cam 1 picture after my accidentally getting it to cam 2. It was an easy process using the buttons on back of monitor. It takes a few minutes to get use to the 3 buttons but soon it is very very self explanatory and easy. You can use the buttons to adjust everything, color, brightness, guide lines on / off and flip right left and up down.The 5 Inch monitor comes with a mount that can disconnect and connect magnetically from the camera, an excellent feature to store monitor when not in use. The picture is clear and stable while driving down the road. The instructions were not perfect but well written and when I emailed some questions the response was very fast and very helpful.The instructions include a list of additional items you can obtain for purchasing the camera. The support folks are fast and knowledgeable. Simply email them and they get back to you in under a day! I am very pleased with the product and the people selling it! Thank You!

I have now had the Yakry Y25 HD installed and working in my Tundra for over three months (picture with travel trailer). The windshield mount is still holding in place without having to be reset and that has included freezing weather as well as 90+ degrees, both on and off road. I bought this mainly to speed up connecting to a trailer and the ease of the mount’s magnetic attachment for removing and placing the monitor makes it easy to keep in the glove box until needed. However, I found the small size of the monitor unobtrusive and the convenience of just having a good view of where the end of the truck is when backing up, just too handy that I just leave it up all the time and simply press the button on the power cable whenever I want to see what is behind me. Night vision is OK, but definitely needs the truck’s backup lights or brake lights to help.I was so pleased with the Yakry camera, and the company, since they had immediately helped me with a resetting monitor issue I had with the Y25, that I bought a Yakry camrea for the back of my son’s work trailer. The license plate was off center and was not so convenient for the Y25 style camera mount so I bought the Y24. It has better resolution at 1024P however for my needs the Y25 was good enough and I liked the convenience of mounting it behind the license plate. He already had a backup camera on his SUV but did not have a camera on the trailer.I chose the Y24 because his trailer’s tag was very low and offset to the far left so the position would not be good however the Y25 was small, had a simple angle bracket mount and as an added bonus had better resolution. Top dead center of his trailer are running lights which made it trivial to wire up the camera. It is hardly visible up there but has a great view of what is behind the trailer. He uses the mount on his dashboard instead of the windshield and it stays fine in position for him. To date we have both been very pleased with our backup cameras.

I was very impressed with the image quality and the whole thing seems to be well made. It looks good and I like that it includes more than one way to mount the display, which not all similar products do. I plan to install this in a few weeks on a van that we keep two provinces away, but I was able to jury-rig it on the van we have at home and it worked at least as well as expected. Installation of wireless units like this is painless. Just plug the power cable into the display and affix it to your dash or windscreen. Bolt the camera bracket over your rear license plate and connect the power wire to one of your backup lamps and you are done. If you prefer you can wire the camera to an always on 12V source so you can see the rear-view while driving forward too. You may need to align the camera a bit and adjust the position of the virtual grid pattern, but those are easy tasks too. It also comes with a plain power cable for the display so you can wire it in permanently instead of plugging it into the lighter socket if you prefer.What really impressed me though was the free accessory offer. I already knew from someone else's Amazon review that you could request a free second camera from the vendor, but I didn't expect to be given a choice of several actually valuable gifts. Besides two styles of camera to choose from, you also have the option to get a free OBD2 scanner or a complete second WIRED backup camera system. Since I already have a good OBD2 scanner and didn't need an additional camera for the van, I opted for the wired backup camera. I was skeptical I'd actually get the gift as pictured, but after submitting the required email with details of my original order I got a reply within 24 hours that I should get the gift within a week. It actually showed up in another Amazon package just a few days later, and I'm shocked how good it is at no extra cost. Unlike the unit I first ordered, the gift one is not wireless, it's wired, but for "free" I'm not complaining. Other than being wired instead of wireless, it appears to be the exact same system. If you really want the gift unit to be wireless too you can buy 12V video transmitter/receiver units on Amazon for around $25 which replace the long video cable between the camera and display. I looked it up and the gift camera sells for about $70 on Amazon. I thought $112 for a 1080p wireless backup camera was a pretty reasonable price, but $112 for that AND a 1080p WIRED backup camera system is an absolute steal. Highly recommended.

Bought the wireless backup camera kit for my school bus camper conversion. Super easy install and works as advertised! I installed the camera up high on the back of the bus, instead of the license plate bolts as I do not have a conventional license plate location, and it worked fine 👍. Great picture quality! Lights on the camera are bright for seeing at night as well.

The camera was delivered very quickly. The installation instructions were ok, but not complete. My biggest difficulty was accessing wires to attach the camera to, no fault of the product. The camera had an image when testing installation was done, but would not work when installation was complete. I phoned the number in the instructions, and they opened a case file. It took 3 days for them to get back to me...but quickly said they would send a new camera. So, although my initial reaction was not good, and a fairly long time for a reply, they are going to send a new camera. So hopefully it will work right away. My rating on the picture quality was based on the image which I had during the test installation.After receiving the new camera, everything works well. The picture quality is good. But the service was exceptional...very good follow-up which is hard to find nowadays. 2 thumbs up on this company and product.
