Basco Deluxe Framed Sliding Shower Door, Fits 45-47 inch opening, Obscure Glass, Brushed Nickel Finish

My husband installed these doors himself and mentioned on multiple occasions throughout the process that the directions were thorough and easy to follow. It took him approximately 2.5 hours from start to finish. The top and bottom rails did need to be cut to fit the width of our shower, but seeing as the product description gave a range of widths, we did expect to have to make cuts. It was done quite easily with a hack saw on a miter box. The aesthetic is unbelievable for the price. We purchased the oil rubbed bronze to match our fixtures and it is really beautiful. I noticed that some of the reviews called the doors "flimsy." Those purchasers may have had a different experience than my own, but what I think they might be referring to, is the doors are thinner than other sliding shower doors I have seen. However, the glide in the track is smooth, and the doors feel sturdy. The only minor complaint I might agree with is the doors sway a very miniscule amount so when closing them quickly, they do not always seat in the rubber stopper where they are supposed to. But even so, they are really a great deal and a good product.

Overall, I'm satisfied with this purchase. Having it delivered to the house saved the headache from having to arrange for transport. From an aesthetics perspective, this door is certainly a 5 out of 5. There are 2 main reasons why I give this a 4 star review. One is that the top bar and the bottom bar need to be cut to width. This is not immediately made clear in the product description. When I ordered this 45-47" unit, I was expecting it to fit right away in my 47" clearance. The bar came in above 55" and so I had no choice but to cut it. Since this product is 'metallic', cutting it can require a good amount of time and muscle with a hacksaw. (Make sure you find a way to secure the bar while you are cutting it otherwise it can get unruly) The second reason why I knocked a star off is that I think there can an added guide at the bottom the prevents the doors from shifting forward/backward once installed. Overall this doesn't impact the operation, but does give the feeling of "flimsiness". Overall, I would recommend this product - especially at this price point with delivery included.

We ordered these doors after shopping online providers, local glass shops and big box stores. We were set on rain glass, which is a little pricey and usually special order. Basco Shower Enclosures for the win! Wonderful sturdy and high quality set for a fraction of the price of anyone else! My husband installed this set by himself with the help of the You-Tube video. Take your time, read and re-read the instructions. The doors and framework are perfect! Our only complaint would be that the inside and outside doors should be tagged before shipping to make the process easier for the consumer.

Took forever to get delivered. 1st delivery: Nothing else, just 2 flimsy panels. Impossible to get the company on the phone. Amazon replaced it. 2nd delivery: all seems to be there, so we put it up. It’s flimsy, but ok. As we’re about to attach the bars on it, we notice it’s missing parts there too. Ok. It’s almost up anyway so we keep going. Then we realize the glass and metal edge is crooked, so crooked you have a crack between the shower door and the wall. So, verdict this is a PoS. Stay away. The company never answered me when emailed and called. Zero customer service

This needed some cutting to fit into my shower door, but it was not too difficult for an amateur remodeler. The Aluminum was cut with a normal wood chop saw and the corners were filed town with a hand file to fit better in the bottom corners. Instructions were fair, not great, but fair... I like the looks of this in my bathroom and the doors look great. SO much better than a shower curtain!

Husband said easy to install. Best part was having it delivered and not trying to figure out how to get in as we have a small car. Plus delivery drivers even brought in for us. We are in our seventies so big plus.

Ordered for bathroom remodeling, when we were ready to install the towel handle bars were missing and both doors on top were bent. Because my husband did not open the package until after the no return point basco will not ship us the missing parts and each towel handle cost 45.00 each but remind you we paid 485.00 for this whole kit. We don't want to return the product we want what we paid for and did not get!! We do not recommend purchasing their products if this is how they do business.

Even when installed.... they fit weird. There’s a gap on the bottom (see the photo) but I filled it with some rubber weatherstripping. The doors don’t feel very solid. They flex when you put opposite pressure on them, but they roll nicely. Very smooth. All in all, although I had to modify them, I’m happy with with them. They do look great. But just keep your price/value/expectations in line.
