None are really great, but Pencil by 53 is consistently the best ...
I draw on an iPad Air 2 and repeatedly try different styli, with mixed success. None are really great, but Pencil by 53 is consistently the best performer, far less flakey than either the Adonit Jot Touch with Pixel Point or the Wacom Intuos Creative Stylus Two.Each stylus works better with some apps than with others, but across the board, the Pencil performs best. The Pencil's broad, rubber point, which makes more difficult to see fine lines, offsets this disadvantage by allowing a far better feel on the surface of the iPad. The hard points of the Intuos and Adonit styli feel like trying to draw on ice of very slick glass (and the latter, of course, is exactly what you ARE trying to draw upon.)All the styli that I have used on the Air 2 suffer from often not immediately starting to draw at the point where you first touch the screen. They also all sometimes temporarily skip when drawing lines. In short, all are cranky and harder to use than a pencil or pen on traditional media. The Pencil, in my opinion, is the best of the bunch, but none approach the precision or feel of using of using a Wacom tablet and stylus hooked to a laptop or desktop computer.I have also tried Adobe's Ink and Slide and very much liked how it (they) worked with the Adobe apps (which are excellent) but, alas, the Ink stylus quit recharging within the first month that I owned it, so I returned it to Amazon and that's when I got the Wacom Intuos.I still await, and long for, the "ideal" stylus for the iPad. Meanwhile the Pencil by 53 continues to be my "Go-to" sylus for the iPad Air 2. I hope this is helpful because I have spent quite a bit of time and money in my search and maybe it can help you in making your decision.

Great, when you get it to work!
This pencil works like a dream. It feels absolutely amazing in your hands. There's just something amazing about holding walnut wood in your hands that makes you feel totally awesome! It glides across my iPad Air's screen with ease. As a standalone stylus, it's ridiculously beautiful and works very well. Combine it with Paper by 53, and it's a dream come true. I would HIGHLY recommend this product, just realize you're going to have to mess with it a little to really get it to work as described.Pros:1) Feels and looks amazing. Very sturdy2) Amazing stylus, even better with the app "Paper by 53"3) Magnet is very strong, I've had no issues having this "snap" to my iPad cover and stay put as I move about.4) Comes with replacements tipsCons:1) Expensive (for a stylus...)2) slightly gimmicky. Again, once you fiddle with it though, it's amazing.** Troubleshooting *** I had to replace the eraser tip with the extra one they included* I also had to take the pencil tip off, clean, and put it back on as tight and snug as I could.* I had to rub my finger along the gold USB charge plates to get it to charge

Love it!
This is my first stylus so I can't really compare it to anything. That being said, I think Pencil is a very well build product, works flawlessly and allowed me to draw complex drawings with precision. I took off one star because I draw a lot so I can already see wear and tear on the drawing end of the stylus. Will have to replace it soon after having it for only 3 months. Overall, awesome, beautiful stylus.

how much I love my Pencil by 53
I cannot explain enough... how much I love my Pencil by 53!!! All the reviews are right when they say that as soon as you learn how to hold the pencil, using it is a whole new way of life! I thought I was in love with my iPad before... now... I'm ADDICTED! This is my first stylus pencil. But I got the best one. You can use it on all sketch apps... but obviously, I use it for Paper. Attached to this review is one of the Remixes that I completed with this pencil. I promise you will not regret it. I love the walnut color... it goes well with my Smart Cover and... well.. it goes great with life! So don't hesitate... you will love it :)

Distance Makes The Heart Grow Sombre
I purchased an iPad Pro recently and ordered the FiftyThree Pencil online. It was available at a much better rate on Amazon.com, and since I was visiting NYC from India, I got it shipped to my friend Alysha. I've been waiting to try this product out since the first time I saw the promo video. It doesn't even come close to the Apple Pencil in terms of quality and experience, but I love wood and the feel of this stylus is what I wanted the most.Sadly, upon unpacking it so enthusiastically, the device didn't work. Whether I charged it or replaced the tip or tried rebooting Paper on my iPad amongst the othe things a FiftyThree representative instructed me to do over emails since they don't have a customer care number.Anyway, it just didn't work and I was adviced to send it back via Amazon so they may look into it and get me a new one after reviewing everything in between. Well, obviously that wasn't the solution I was hoping for since I was in the US only for a fortnight and I didn't get to see Alysha again to ensure that the pick up location was same as the delivery.Having said that, it's a pretty product that can do so much but unfortunately is cut short in the beautiful features it can provide me. Now, it's just a pretty but regular stylus. It did help me make a digital space pizza on my long, but sad flight to Miami. I had no control over the strokes of the line :(I guess I'm going to save up and purchase an Apple Pencil soon.

The Perfect Addition to Pencil 53 Paper App...Don forget to buy it!
If you love the Pencil 53 App for your iPad then you will not want to be without the Pencil. The Pencil's battery is recharged by taking it out of the pencil and sliding it into any USB charging unit or the USB port on the computer. The pencil allows for many styles, lines colors, fill, and accents on Pencil 53. Pencil 53 is a top App for the iPad and adding the Pencil made it even more useful for developing thoughts, adding diagrams and building a journal of ideas. In one setting, the pencil allows for any square or circle that you draw to be automatically rounded or perfectly shaped.I recommend buying or making a cover for the pencil since it is a bit delicate. I found that a Cross Pen suede pen cover works perfectly. These covers often come free in a Cross
