Gets the job done. But, the construction. Is poor quality.

Terrible! I first used this evil corkscrew to open an older bottle of wine. The opener was 75% in the cork already but barely reached half of the cork. When I tried to twist a bit more, the cork was completely destroyed into shreds. Okay, I then thought it was because the bottle had a bad cork, or maybe it was because I was a bit rusty after not having a corkscrew for about a week.Nope, this corkscrew destroyed a bottle I bought the following weekend and a friend's bottle with a rubbery cork. Those are supposed to be the easiest to maneuver, not to mention we drink the same bottles from time to time and never had a problem. Each time, it took two separate tries to maneuver the cork out of the bottle since the corkscrew destroyed about half of the cork each time, not to mention that a bunch of cork scraps somehow floated into the bottle. That's how messy it got.I have had several other corkscrews of the $5 variety and those worked great. In fact, the one that my friend recently destroyed works better than this new one I just bought. This one is cheap and even feels flimsy. I guess "you get what you pay for" has never been more true.

Nice corkscrew for the price. I would buy again if I needed another one, as it is a lot less $$$ than the Screwpull variety. I liket that it opens beers easily also.

Feels like it is made of plastic. It was an "add on" item so i guess i got what I paid for.

I have bought 2 and they last about 45-60 days. amazon wont take it back
