I just recently purchased a Samsung UN58NU6080FXZA and the original OEM remote to me is a cluttered hot mess. I don't know who designs the layout of remotes but often they are a miss instead of a hit.What should be done is recognize what buttons are touched most often and locate other buttons out of the way and have the most common buttons including navigation, volume, channel, navigate back key and select option key grouped together. The original Samsung remote is clustered together and next thing you know you have selected an undesired function.... Usually in a critical scene on a show you are watching.Not so with this remote... You can safely navigate and intuitively make the right selections and the learning curve is a day or 2. With the original remote albeit full featured its been over a month and it's still cumbersome to use.Very well pleased with this remote... The only problem with this remote is the battery compartment cover is hard to slide off. To do this grasp the cover and slide the remote main body with a strong grasp.

1. Are battery springs too loose? Yes. [UPDATE: Using correct AAs instead of AAAs is the best fix]2. Do batteries fall out of place inside? Yes.3. Is remote clickier (louder) than the original Samsung? Yes.Replacement remote is such a good value, and the Samsung inspired design so awesome, that if we can just work around the drawbacks the knock off remote is a good buy. The third problem, loud clicks when pressing buttons, is the only thing we can't fix. Take a look at attached photo.Battery springs Fix: If you get a pen lid and insert into spring end and gently pull, you can get the spring to adjust big enough to hold the batteries in place. Be careful here not to stretch it too far. You only need to do it to one end per battery. Leave the flat spring flat. [UPDATE: May not be necessary - mis-judged AAA size, correct size is AA]Batteries fall out Fix: Find something to fill in the internal void like a folded up square of toilet tissue. Place on top of batteries before replacing the back cover.That's it! Remote is fine now and it really beats the $50 price tag of the genuine Samsung remote.

So far this remote is great. I bought it because my original is being used too much and the print is coming off of the buttons so I decided it needs to be used less. The new remote is as close to the original that came with my 4k Samsung tv as you could get without paying the high price for a Samsung OEM. It uses AA batteries and worked right away. It does show instructions inside the remote on how to pair it if you need to. The buttons are responsive and no issues so far using any apps through the smart TV. The remote isn't as smooth and glossy as the original but for the price I can live with that. I highly recommend getting one as a backup or for anyone who is hard on remotes and you don't want them to break the original.

We must have a gremlin in the house or a couch that devours these things. I swear I've bought at least 10 for our 3 tvs in the past few years. Not due to them breaking yet due to them vanishing. Good buy will come back.

Okay, I honestly thought this was a joke. A remote that controls my Samsung smart TV for 6 dollars. No, that couldn't be. It has to be junk or something else. Boy was I wrong.This is a great replacement and controls everything the original did. It feels like the original, functions like the original and even better, has a dimpled back to be easier to grip. I cannot find a con on this at all. Oh, well, maybe if you don't like getting a piece of electronics at a great price that actually does what the ad says...that could be a downsize for you.

Remote is obviously a genuine Samsung remote and it worked immediately. Problem is, all the button markings are worn off and its clearly used- as evidences by the gunk and hair stuck between the buttons. I can only assume that someone returned their well-used remote and kept a new one. This should have been caught by the seller. Now I have to make a special trip to return it- not worth it.
