Mom (88 years old, in an assisted living facility) has been finding it increasingly difficult to determine what day it is.. although she records important events in her day planner and on (too many) note pads.. recently, she began showing up at the right time but days early for planned activities.. after some online investigation I learned this is fairly typical for elderly folks experiencing early dementia, especially when they reside in nursing homes or assisted living (away from the workweek routines of employed folks)..Since setting up this clock the improvement in her cognition has been nothing short of amazing! She loves it and (I expect) she loves that it's helped her gain back some control over her life!Why only 4 stars? Yes, it has an excellent/crisp display that Mom finds easily visible from across the room (even with her glasses off) but its' just got too many features that are irrelevant to its' primary (actually, in our case, only) purpose.. and all those extra features mean extra complexity (admittedly only an issue for 1st time set-up as long as the controls aren't inadvertently pressed) and probably contribute to the premium charged for this over similar devices..Is it worth that premium? Not having tested other options, I can't weigh in.. what I can say is the positive impact on Mom's quality of life is well worth $65!

Ordered this for my 100 year old Mom. Arrived on schedule and was easy to set up. However, the finish doesn't look nearly as good as pictured. Additionally, while the large display clock looks great, it is very bright and lacking a dimming function, lights up the bedroom at night. I didn't try any additional features.

This product works excellent for my mother who is visually impaired. She sometimes gets confused on the day of the week and this works splendidly. We have it right beside her bed so she can see it. Much further away and the digits are not quite big enough for her. Nursing staff and visitors think it is the most amazing product for seniors they've seen.

Bought this for my Mom cause she's having trouble these days with AM and PM and the display is large enough for her to see, It cost a little more than the other one on Amazon but I believe it was 2 inches bigger, It has sd card slot and usb port but its kind of useless for her She's 91 Maybe they could make one a little less pricey By eliminating those things for people that do not need those

I love being able to read this clock from around the room but it does have issues with changing status from evening to morning at 6AM which is confusing at 5am, cause it’s still dark out. Also there’s a “n” after PM and it throws the center aligned display but I need to see the day & date. This was $20 off so I got it for $45. Have not tried other features cause I don’t need them. Just wanted a clock I could see without straining

Great clarity, however the “amn” and “ pmn” displays instead of am pm is annoying. I learned to live with it but may return if they’re not all like that

Despite a glitch in the calendar display (see picture), I am satisfied with the purchase. I hope a software or firmware update is available to fix it.There are other ‘dementia’ clocks, but this one has a few advantages: SIZE is two inches bigger; has the ability to show PHOTOS; play MUSIC; and play MOVIES. I’ve managed to leverage the features for my mother. I’ve loaded onto a flash drive family photos that I think she enjoy and some relaxation music (which can be played while viewing photos). I also loaded a video, which is a video of me reminding my mother of a few things. (Best to record a video landscape). All this functionality can be accessed by the remote control.I wish the remote control would have larger buttons so it can be used by those with vision issues. I modified the CALENDAR button so it stands out.Overall, the clock has nice features.
