I have been using this foam cutter now for three years. Has never let me down, and does a perfect job. Instructions were lacking a little, but if you have any common sense at all, you will be able to put it together without the instructions. Great piece of equipment for the price. I have seen others for twice as much money, that are in the trashcan within a year of use. Best foam cutter you will be able to buy, hands-down.

Came in great shape and have had zero issues with it. Only regret and only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars was horrific instructions on how to set it up. A lot of guess work, but not too difficult.

This is the only foam cutter I've ever used, but it does the job. So far I've just cut sheets of polyurethane foam. Cutting 3" sheets is not very fast but that's probably to be expected. When assembling, I used a square to make sure that the wire would be held at 90 degrees to the work surface and found that I could not adequately adjust the metal arm (side to side) to get it square. I had to ream out a couple of the holes in the mounting bracket with a drill bit to allow enough play to do so. Not a huge deal for me personally but something to be aware of.

I got this because I started putting together a Halloween village and needed to make platforms. This saved me a lot of time. It cuts perfectly and made my life so much easier so I didn't have to do everything freehand.

Came without the wire, so I had to go and buy an extra wire.Once I set it up, it didnt turn on at all.The regulator lights up green when plugged into the wall, but once you plug into the cutter, the green light goes off, the regulator heats up, but not the cutter.

I looked at ALL available foam cutting machines, and after careful & thorough research I decided to give this one a try considering the great price. I know you usually get what you pay for, but I will say that this little jewel has done a great job for what I needed it for. I can only speak on cutting foam for dioramas, but if that's what you're looking for this one won't let you down. Nearly half price of the cutters I compared it to and it's a cinch to assemble.

This thing is great. I just wish they had included measurements on the sides in smaller increments. I think they're measured in whole centimeters, and it would have been way more helpful to be broken into millimeters. For precise work, you're going to have to go to some extra effort as a result. I also found it's helpful to keep a speed square on hand to adjust the wire for straight 90 degree cuts. Still, this is $60 cheaper than the Proxxon, and it works fine.
