What are the dimensions of the sticks? They are 2 inches long, but how wide and how thick are they?

About 3/32 which is .1 inch. In HO Scale about the size of a railroad tie, although a little thick on one side. They are not a precise cutting as a number of pieces are not square. About 1/2 are usable in you need a good square fit.
