*updated 3/16/19* Seller is great, lock, not so much
*Updated 3/16/20019*My original review is below, I decided to raise the 1 star rating to 3 star because the seller made the effort to ensure I wa satisfied with my purchase. After receiving a full refund, the seller reached out to me and offered to let me try a new/updated lock, which I did.Although this new/updated lock suffers from the same issue as the first lock, I did not put it on my locker so I didn't get locked out this time. Instead, I carried it around with me while I was active and tested the lock while I worked out, affter a run, after a shower, etc.The lock is fine for general use by dry hands - but for someone who's always active, like myself, the lock will suffer the same issue over and over again, it will not identify my fingerprint even after drying/wiping my hands and the lock.Seller was awesome though, so adding stars for that.*Original review*Got locked out of my gym locker - they had to cut through it, terrible!I was so excited when I got this! I should've known from trying to set it up that I was going to have problems, because it gave me problems while setting it up. It took 2-3 turns to recognize my fingerprint. I thought to myself, that's fine, I can live with that.Until I found myself standing in front of my gym locker, naked, dripping wet, going insane hearing the lock beeping at me that it wasn't recognizing my finger for 10 minutes. I thought, ok, let me dry my fingers, wait a couple of minutes, then try again.Nope, still not working. I even wrapped my thumb in toilet paper to expedite drying. The worst part was hearing it BEEP and BEEP and BEEP every time I put my thumb on it, people thought I was trying to break INTO my locker.Eventually a trainer walked in and I explained the situation to him, he laughed and laughed, then brought me a towel, and 3 lock cutters. The ONLY reason I'm giving this item 2 stars is because he had to use the heavy set cutter to break the lock, so at least I know the cable is strong, however the housing of the lock is cheap plastic, the back part broke off and that is how I was able to get into my locker. Had I known how flimsy the back cover was, I would've punched it and done the deed myself.Once it was cut off, the stupid thing accepted my finger print - I'm shipping this right back and I'm NEVER buying a fingerprint lock!

Needs further development
I give this product two stars because even tho it's a nice form factor there are two main concerns with the device.1. Inadaquet Locking Mechanism - The locking mechanism could use much work as I noticed two major issues with it, the first being that the mechanism itself works fine if you can get the male wire connection firmly into the female locking mechanism but out of 10 tries 8 failed to secure a connection and secondly if the initial locking process isnt successful you'll need to recant your finger to unlock the mechanism for a second attempt at locking the device, if you dont follow this step the mechanism will never attempt to re-lock the mechanism no matter how many times you try.2. Under Developed Biometric Reader - The reader process is not too bad if you can follow the instructions but even after you set it up even a couple of times there are times when the device will not read your fingerprint and other times it will work flawlessly, but there will be times when it will not ready your fingerprint at all. I'll have to buy from a different company but was hoping this would do the trick, I'd wait for a couple revisions of the product before buying. Hope this helps someone.

Stops working
I read the reviews, and initially it seemed like the problems others were having were user error. But nope... this puppy forgets fingerprints.I programmed multiples in. We were methodical. And for a few weeks it was quite reliable. And then... it got amnesia. Worse over time.I'm glad we tried it at home, prior to the trip. Avoid.

Nice lock, easy to set up
I wish there was an option to have less slack, but that is just for my purposes, This was very easy to set up. only had a hard time getting it to read my finger print once.
