The item I purchased did not come with the spoon or the case. I would guess it was a hardened vinyl based on the zipper, but I cannot be sure - sorry

Overpriced for an underpowered frother

Easy to use and all delivered very efficiently but it takes a long while to do what other similar products do effortlessly. Did check the batteries again and ensured new ones were in but sadly it still struggled.
