I'm not an audiophile by any stretch but I do want to get the best out of my digital library, so I bought this to round out the music from my PC soundcard (optical) to a pair of Tangent X5 BT active speakers. I live in a flat and didn't want or need earth-quaking bass, just a little more depth at the low end. So far I love it! I was initially concerned about my downstairs neighbour so after a bit of research on forums/Google I mounted this on a couple of concrete blocks to negate excessive bass vibration (it's downward firing) and set the volume knob to around 35-40%. Plugged into my X5s the volume level/output is automatic through the Tangent remote control. It has really added another dimension to the sound and I'm revisiting all kinds of old music and hearing new details. I also loved the price, you really can't go wrong for less than £100. Sure, if you want to make the roof tiles fall off this probably isn't the one, but at this price and for my simple needs I'm a very happy customer.

It's good I think. I dunno.
I got this to add a bit of basey depth to my small wharfedales. The rest of my system is yam; an amp, a sound bar, and a satellite speaker all in different rooms. It's not as precise as I had hoped it would be, but it's not bad. But to be fair, it is in a narrow room facing across the room. It could be better in a bigger area. I'm no expert though.

Good quality speaker that packs a punch
Plenty of sound for medium sized rooms. I have a Yamaha SRT 1000 sound plynth and adding this definitely makes a difference. More cinema effect sound and good bass when playing music. I have always been happy with Yamaha products especially for build quality and this speaker does not disappoint.

Bought as a replacement for a broken sub that was twice as big.
Excellent little box with a big sound. Very reasonably priced and an great addition to my Dolby Atmos system. I love the fact that it is small enough to fit on a shelf with other home cinema hardware.

Compact size with a punch
A great addition to my hi fi system, fits in well on unit and fills out the sound with lots of bass without any booming or distortion.

Just the job
Did exactly what i wanted..gave my denon mini system extra ooomph and freed my speakers to handle the mid range and treble

It's but could do with some independent tone control, sounds a little wooly without it.
