The Woombie Original Swaddle Blanket, Bubblegum, 5-13 Pounds (Discontinued by Manufacturer), 0-3 Months

We got this when baby was 6 weeks old. Prior to that we swaddled her with a light blanket but our "Houdini" always managed to get her arms free and would wave them all around her face which startled her. She fought against the Woombie, trying to free her arms, the first couple of times we used it. But she now likes it and is mucher calmer with Woombie. Have been using it each night for about 3 weeks now and have not had any problems with the workmanship of the garment.Three month update: The Woombie is still comforting to the baby and helps calm her down so she can go to sleep. However, if you have the patience and will swaddling with a blanket is even better because baby cannot move arms around as they can with the Woombie.

I bought this for my granddaughter. She didn't like it at all, so my daughter never used it. But I can see how a baby that enjoys being bound up like this would enjoy it. We used the traditional of swaddling instead.

Great design and very snug. Perfect for a wiggleworm! Contains arms very well. Also it is fairly long for a longer baby.

I wish we would have had this coming home from the hospital. I did not want to spend the money, but it is worth every penny! I tried everything with my daughter and this was the best and only thing that really worked. She started sleeping better the same day. She is now 4 months and sleeping in the larger convertible woombie. My only complaint is the difference in the two sizes is pretty drastic. I wish there was an in-between size, but it has been fine.

Its a pretty soft cotton feel..... GrandBaby weighed 5 pounds 14 oz and was long ( 18" long)... its pretty big so maybe in a few months it will fit.

Good, just not for extremely active/fidgety infants.

Look no further. Want to have your baby sleep through the night? Buy a Woombie. The inventor of this thing deserves every penny he earns.

Bought this for my ultra strong newborn who hulk-smashed her way out of the standard swaddle. Instead of soothing my little troubled sleeper, she freaked the hell out and screamed like crazy in the woombie. It's more like a straight jacket than a womb.Of course every baby is different and I know other babies will totally love it. I'd recommend borrowing one before making the purchase if you can. I wasted $40.

This swaddle pod is fantastic and i'm not sure what we'd do without it. I found swaddling our baby girl helped her sleep but only for a very short time as she constantly managed to escape then woke herself startling, batting herself and flailing around. The pod is brilliant as it swaddles her securely and easily and it's really quick and stress free to re-swaddle her after nappies (unzips at bottom) and feeds (unzips at top so hands are free). Our baby is not the best sleeper but this has helped enormously from about 4wks old til now (11 wks) and we plan to use til she grows out of it. It's also better than swaddling with a blanket in warm weather because it means she's only covered by one layer and you can then add blankets over the top if required. Worth every penny if you don't mind how silly & slightly cruel zipping them in feels!

I can't begin to tell you how this product as given me my sleep back! Our newborn kept throwing her arms and legs about in the night and no swoddle blanket was able to contain her flying limbs!! She was waking up all the time. It was shattering. Think its a lite in the pricey side for what it is but you can't put a price on sleep for you and your little one!We had a nappy disaster one night and had to go back to her gro bag swoddle. Never again! So brought another Woombie for backup.

This didn't work for our little girl. I feel itheld her in too tight. There was lots of grunting and wriggling! She would start screaming the place down when she saw she was going into it.

I love this for my newborn.. She can't wiggle her way out of it like a regular swaddle, and the zipper can open from the bottom to easily check if she has a dirty diaper. Not sure why the manufacturer would discontinue this item.
