A bit more pricey, but higher quality.
Its a shame that this Shure mounting flange will do such an important job and never truly be seen because the build quality is superb. The plate is thick, the threads are deep & sharp, and it just feels like a high quality product when handling/installing it.That said, it doesn't do any better-of-a-job when compared to other cheaper mounting flanges, like the On-Stage TM08B, which $4 cheaper. If you only need one, get the Shure. But if you need more than one, get the On-Stage.

Mounted a gooseneck on my DJ controller case!
Bought a new DJ system relegating my old one to become my 1st backup. Opted for this model instead of the slightly cheaper model that I used before. Having that little nut on the mount really makes a difference. You can adjust the gooseneck to any degree and use the nut to make it tight instead of hoping that it would become tight at the correct angle. With less thread it doesn't take 2 minutes to screw the gooseneck on either. Much quicker:)

Can’t go wrong with one of these nifty little mounts. They were a great solution to the installation of two permanent microphones placements in the Organ Lofts at my church.

CAUTION! DO NOT ORDER THIS Shure A12! It is NOT a Shure V15 cartridge as pictured!
DO NOT BUY! Look carefully - Shure A12 is a microphone stand mounting flange, NOT A V15 Cartridge as FALSELY displayed & reviewed! As did I, you will end up paying a high price for a piece of metal usually sold for approx. $8.55. I believe that the normally ultra reliable Amazon .com has also been misled in presenting this sham.
