Lights provide for a bright work area, the large glass lens allows for easy viewing. Mounted to a table next to a scroll saw, mounting bracket and extending arm are sturdy. Used for scroll saw projects and is just what I was looking for.

The SMD LEDs in this lamp back-feed a horrendous amount of noise into your household electric line! I plugged this lamp into an outlet that also had a high-quality stereo plugged in to it. When I turned on the LED magnifying lamp, the stereo speakers started emitting electrical, back-feed noises. As a test, I ran a large gauge extension cord over to another outlet and plugged the LED magnifying lamp into that. It was about 15' away/ Even with that I could still here noise on the stereo speakers when I turned on the LED magnifying lamp. This second outlet had my flat-screen TV and Cable TV box plugged in to it and their performance also went to heck in a hand-basket when I turned on the LED magnifying lamp. Either I got a one-off, mis-manufactured lamp, or, the LED electronics are of a very poor design and do nothing to filter out/stop electrical noise. Hugely disappointed for the price-point of this lamp!
