This was an enjoyable project for me. I’ve attempted crochet in the past and been able to make very, very basic things like a chunky blanket but never a stuffed animal. The videos were very helpful in walking you through the stitches and the entire project at a slow, digestible pace. I was able to read the pattern and understand what to do after watching some of the stitch tutorials and did not need the videos for the entire project- meaning they taught me well. There were also plenty of materials provided, so I was not worried about running out. My only major issue came when it was time to sew the project together. The videos were not very specific on how to sew or what to do and went very quickly through the sewing process. Honestly, it took me much longer than the video to sew everything and figure out what I was doing. I wish they were as detailed in explaining the sewing process as they were with everything else. Besides that, I love my axolotl, and I’m glad I got this kit. It was worth it for the materials and instructions, and I’d say it looks just like they advertise. Overall, it was fun and beginner-friendly.

It was kinda frustrating at first but once i took my time it was very easy and came naturally. The instructions do kind of go a bit fast but it was fine. it does seem a bit smaller than the one in the video but other than that perfect

This was my first time ever crocheting and now I'm hooked. I made one with the blue yarn it comes with, then I bought some glow in the dark yarn and made one with that. Then my coworker asked if I could make her one, so I'm in the process of that. The videos were easy to follow. There were separate videos of how to do each stitch, but they also showed how to do each stitch throughout the axolotl making process. The sewing part was a little glossed over but I just re-watched it a few times and really payed attention to where the needle should be passing through.

Late review. Sorry. Perfect! Bought this as Christmas gift for my daughter. She is NEW to crocheting and LOVES theses! I guess she has found her “new hobby”!

I purchased this because I wanted to learn how to crochet, and this said it was beginner friendly. It could help with my ADHD, and also learn a new skill at the same time. I was so excited to do this, because it was going to be a gift for my boyfriend's nephew, Now, I don't know if it's just not beginner friendly for me because I have some disabilities, or it's just not begi1nner friendly, period. Among mqày disabilities are a visual impairment (I'm blind in my right eye), and poor fine motor skills. I also have a learning disability, making this kit is really difficult for someone like me.

This was such a fun project to complete! The directions are online (with a QR code) and are great for beginning crocheters. There is a video that goes through the entire project step by step. It was great to follow.

Terrible instructions and worse the hook is too small.
