Question 1

I keep getting a flashing F in the temperature control and I can't reset it by unplugging and replugging it in can you help

on my third heat sunbeam pad.   when the control light flashes and resetting doesn't work, the control is broken.  One can extend the life of the control by turning it completely off, rather than let the auto-shut off continue to blink.   Most heat pad controls have to be entirely unplugged to stop the blinking light.  Sunbeam, at least, can be shut off without unplugging.

Question 2

Can this be used for shoulder arthritis? It seems like it's mostly for back/neck, so just wanted to see if  it could also be used for shoulder as well

I have arthritis in Every. Single. Joint. due to my EDS (Ehlers Danlos). I mainly use my heating pad during my time of the month for my cramps & lower back pain, though I've been able to use it on any part of my body that's aching the worst. This heating pad is flexible and lightweight, and conforms to my body very well, though I often tuck a sheet or blanket around it to hold it close and tight in order to get the most surface contact.
 Moist heat may be most effective for deeper and older/chronic aches; a 20-minute ice, then 20-min heat rotation for new/recent injuries. I used to work as a nurse before my condition got so bad, and we would always recommend a max of 20-min when using heat on an affected area, so as to not encourage an increase in inflammation.

Can I use it with my lumbar pillow.

Should be just fine with the pillow. It has 1-6 that it allows you to go through. I sit with mine on 4 till it auto shuts off (2 hrs) and nothing has ever burned even my skin (I do keep a shirt between the pad and my back and the other side is my bed

It says "extra large" but the specs say 7.7  x 11.5 which is very small. Is it really that small size, or larger?
