Great service, and great value.

I love this book. The author has filled the pages with exquisiteness . Fabulous antiques, wonderful flea market finds, and combining enchanting architectural finds only wets the appetite to decorate a room or an entire home.I adore French country style and Carolyn Westbrook has delivered absolutely everything a seasoned designer or the decorator within might look for by stimulating the mind through the eye.

As part of her series of books on the French Interior style, Carolyn Westbrook presented this 160 page book with sharp photos by Keith Scott Morton. Notable aspects of this work are the use of the color pink, bouquet curtain ties, distressed furniture to add a bit of "shabby chic" to the mix ( Not my style personally, though), modern pieces, use of the color French blue, the use of statues and busts as necklace and rosary holders, replicas of Michaelangelo's "David", St. Francis of Assisi, and elegant chandeliers. "My love affair with romantic French Style is evident from all the objects I've collected over the years." muses Westbrook in this publication. Readers are certainly in for an enjoyable and informative view of them.

I love this book. The pictures are gorgeous, but I was very disappointed when I realized it is just a reprint of a previous edition, only with a new cover! That should be made clear. I will be returning it today.

I already have a wonderful home but this is fun to go to in my dreams.

I have a lot of books on French style decorating, and this is one of my favorites. It shows decorating in several modes: French country, Farmhouse, Traditional, Modern, and Bleu.I haven't read all the text, but the photographs are superb. There is a mix of full room views and vignettes for each style. You'll see plenty of inspiration for using what you already have in a French way, whether it's tabletops, furniture, or wall decor. Maybe you won't stack a dozen used toe shoes in a bookcase (one of the photos), but you can put a lamp on a book to give height variation on your hall table.I look forward to reading the text and absorbing the lessons in the photographs for a long time to come.

There were items of furniture and accessories that I liked, as well as especially enjoying the different styles of slipcovers. All in all, I think that the interiors were over filled, and most of the furniture tops reminded me of displays that one might find in second hand stores. This may have been a style that was popular when the book was released. I purchased the book at a bargain price from one of Amazon's used book affiliates, so I feel that I didn't overpay for a book that I consider to be less than wonderful.

A lovely book, with lots of feminine prettiness, although there is some manly stuff too. It is making me want to have a rearrangement of my bits. I think we sometimes get stuck with a display idea and these type of books make us wake up and want to see if we can recreate a new display. One day i may get to have white chair covers, just need to wear my floral ones out first and keep the husband from moaning!.I am sure i will go back to this book often to be inspired.

Loved the photography, gorgeous photos of some amazing houses. Gives a lovely insight on the how the rooms came together. Those of us that like vintage and market finds will love this 😁

Just as I expected, the book contains many wonderful images of French Country Décor, which I love! The book is a jewel full of inspiration, ideas and images which make me want to disappear to a French Country Chateau!! Love it.

A Very Beautiful book! Definitely one of my Best, very Inspirational! Some of my happiest holidays have been in France, this book is such a Wonderful reminder.

Bought this book and was not disappointed, it is beautifully photographed and I find myself picking it up often just to look at. Its not for modern stylistas, but if you fancy a comfortable, french style family home full of meaningful items it is for you. I found it very inspirational and will definitely use some of the ideas.
