Zyrtec 24 Hour Allergy Relief Tablets, 10 mg Cetirizine HCl Antihistamine Allergy Medicine, 45 ct

This product is rated four stars by me because I almost never give five for any medications due to the possible side effects they may cause. I have chronic rhinitis due to enlarged turbinates. In case you do not know the turbinates are glandular structures in the nose. The turbinates function to humidify air inhaled thru the nose. They also secrete mucus. People with enlarged turbinates often have sinus headaches. The headaches occur because the nasal turbinates enlarge causing airway obstruction in both nostrils. The enlargement is a direct response to allergens such as dust, pollen of maple, oak, cherry trees or any other allergen of the day. Zyrtec effectively neutralizes this antigen-antibody response which causes the turbinates to shrink effectively opening the airway. Zyrtec treats the sinus headache that develops due to this antigen- antibody causing turbinate enlargement. For me it is effective for 24hrs. It's duration of effect will vary from patient to patient. I have tried many others including Benadryl, Claritin, and Allegra. At the present time Zyrtec is the best sinus medication for me and I recommend it highly.

EXCELLENT to control my year around asthma/bronchitis. However, it does not prevent flareups. I take one pill daily along with a singular pill. My nutritionist (who is a natural doctor) agrees that this pill is ok to take. This is a high compliment to Zyetec as natural doctors usually do not agree with over-the-counter meds. I have never had adverse reactions to Zyrtec. It works for me better than Claritin.

My husband has been on this for years , and doesn't like the generic. The savings we got by using Amazon was really good. I got 45 tablets for about 1.50 more than what I pay for 30 tablets.

Usually works well, but pollen count really high, so hoping it gets better.Sometimes have to take a Benadryl with it, but not for long
