Make sure you purchase the Omnium 2 LEATHER sandal, the synthetic upper material can be brutal on this Omnium 2 Sport!
I am writing this review as a service to shoppers. I previously wore two pairs of first generation Teva Omnium sandals every day for 3.5 years and loved them. I was linked to this product as a replacement since the Omnium was no longer for sale new. I ordered and received the Omnium 2 Sport and proceeded to repeatedly wear blisters in my heels while I applied band-aids and waited for the shoe to break in over more than a week (I'm stubborn). It didn't happen. If I hadn't known Teva can make a great product, I would have walked away from the brand entirely, but I started to investigate deeper and found that the first generation sandal came in leather as a default, while the Omnium 2 has been split into two styles. The upper in this version comes in a synthetic material that has the approximate texture of sandpaper, and the leather upper comes as the Omnium 2 Leather, an entirely separate product from these.I've returned these shoes and purchased the Omnium 2 Leather sandal ( Teva Men's M Omnium 2 Leather Fisherman Sandal, Turkish Coffee, 11 M US ). The difference is truly amazing. These are the shoes that I've loved for all of these years! Do your heels a favor and stick with the leather version.

Not even close to the original. Broke within a few months.
Not as good as the original Omnium. Aparently made with a cheaper process and materials. Quality of the materials, general construction and fit are not the same. Rear buckle broke within a month or so and soul has worn out extremely fast. This review and photos come after a months of them sitting in the closet. Will not be buying anymore Omnium 2s or any other Tevas sadly after wearing Omniums for many years now. Ominums where my favorite shoe of all time. Thease arent even close.

Not actually adjustable
Despite the appearance of having a heel adjustment, lace adjustment, and buckle closure, those adjustments don't really do anything.Depending on the shape of your foot, and how much pressure points bother you, this might be a non issue. I didn't wear these long, but they seem durable and supportive in the lower. My issue with them is that the perimeter of the ankle is circled 360 degrees with tight elasticized strap. I have bony, skinny feet that are sensitive to pressure points. The stretch strap was essentially tighter than I would have adjusted the tension with the buckle undone and the velcro unhooked. The elastic laces are adjustable, but the tension uniformly distributes itself, making it impossible to tighten the toe area without adding even more tension to the ankle area.

Teva's Omnium 2 Hiking Sandals Are Teriffic
I bought these Teva's to replace a similar pair of Keen sandals, which lacked the adjustability I wanted. The Teva Omnium 2 are adjustable in just about every way possible. They have the "stretch laces" that are pretty typical of hiking sandals, an adjustable strap with clip closure across the top of the foot, and a Velcro strap at the heel. They're quite lightweight, provide good cushioning and arch support, and benefit from having a closed heel for added stability. The toe is closed and provides good protection. Tread provides typical Teva grip. First time I wore them I went on a 6.25 mile hike over varying terrain and my feet felt pretty much as good at the end as at the beginning. The only possible weak spot is where the heel joins the sole, but only time and hard use will tell how durable these prove to be. In the meantime, they're a pleasure to wear.Bottom line: There's a reason why Teva sandals have such a solid reputation, and the Omnium 2 upholds the standard.

New Model is Disappointing,
This is new model is not as good as the old one i’ve been buying every year since 2007. Bought this new model once before and wish I returned them in time but thought to give it a chance to wear in, but still getting blisters every time I wear them after more than a year, even with socks they just don’t feel right, their sole is bigger, overall more rugged and heavier than the old model which I still own a few pairs and never had issues with as they’re the original product that was actually great. Thought I was buying the old product but actually got this new model which is not as good, going to return this without even putting on my feet! Noticed the old model is not available on Amazon anymore, what a bummer!

Goodbye Keen, I love these Tevas
I’ve had 3 pairs of Keen sandals in a row over the past decade as my primary summer footwear. They are great, but I grew tired of the chunky style so I went looking for something different. The Teva Omnium 2 were impossible for me find both locally and also on a 4 state road trip. I finally broke down an ordered my normal size without ever seeing these in person or trying them on.The fit is perfect, and the 2 Velcro straps plus quick lace cords give you a ton of options to snug it up for a rough hike or loosen it for normal walks. The cushioning is soft but not so much that you lose the feel of the trail under your feet. Traction is good but I haven’t done much hiking and have not tried them on rocks yet.The heel did take a bit of beak in for me. The Keen heels make pulling them on annoying, but the design is completely non abrasive. The Omniums will rub your heel more than the Keens. But my heel broke in pretty fast and the advantage is that with the strap, you have more customization of fit. Also, the front Velcro strap has a quick release buckle which means you can slip them on fast for a quick trip to the yard with your dog, no hands required. The only downside with no counter-advantage is the lack of airflow near the closed toes. Keens do a better job in this regard. I’m still happy I made the change, but if airflow on the Keens is on the edge of acceptable to you, you won’t like these.I almost forgot. Keens give you a little slap-back with every step, these Tevas do not.The picture shows the Color “bungee cord” from Trav against my old Keens (grey/orange) bot in sunlight.

Best footware of this type I've had
I'm not normally a sandals wearer but after years of traipsing around tropical forests I've come to the conclusion that "jungle boots" are a waste of time, you're going to get wet feet whatever you do. So I thought I'd give these a try, along with waterproof socks (spoiler alert, they're not waterproof in those conditions!). What a revelation, they are so comfortable and offer enough protection from pointy sticks and thorns etc. I know this isn't the use most people will want them for but I have to say they have held up brilliantly under these extreme conditions and would recomend them.

Arrived 8 days earlier than expected
I have had a pair of these before: Teva Men's M Omnium 2 Sport Sandal .... and have worn them continuously throughout summer and winter, for the past couple of years, and for the past 10 years or so have always bought Tevas, as they suit me perfectly, in terms of comfort and foot support. This time, my order arrived 8 days earlier than I was expecting it, which is a pretty good thing to be able to say, as they have come from the USA. I ordered the same size as before, and they fitted exactly the same, so this suggests a consistency of product spec. Excellent purchase!

Look good, lets hope they are good.
Received these yesterday (quick delivery) and they fit but are snug i guess as a all terrain water shoes they need to be so your feet do not slide about in them when wet. They look good and I am going to have to up date this review once I have worn them in a bit.I like the fact that there is an easy release clip to get in and out of them and they look good on.The only thing I'm going to gripe about on day one is that the material that sits against the heel is about a 1mm below the heal straps and the straps have already started cutting into my heels.I'm hoping this just means they need to be broken in and that in a week or so they will be fine.I'll let you know.Update:Over a week and I have worn these pretty much all week, had to cut off some of the velcro that sits against the heel as is hard plastic and just cuts into you, also had to snip back some material at the sides of the heel, this bends in towards the heel and causes problems.

As good as the Omnium 1
I've had two pairs of Teva Omnium 1's for year and they have now seen better days. I was a bit apprehensive on getting the Omnium 2 due to some of the negative comments, but they fit my odd sized feet well without problems and I particularly like the fact that they have a push fit buckle. You just need to set the velcro straps to how you want them and use the buckle to fasten and unfasten the sandals when you wear them. I have used Velcro only style sandals previously and found that the velcro wears out well before the sandal does, so I expect these sandals to last for a few years.

Satisfied customer
I have been buying these sandals for several years. Each new pair gives me about one year of continual wear. They are the only ones these days to have a robust and supportive heel with side to side support. I used to wear Keen sandals but recently they seem to have been redesigned to be made more cheaply and so less satisfactory. Teva are certainly the best for me! I hope they continue to be available in the UK.
