Craftsman Deep Burned Clay Handi/Pot with Lid & Handle for Cooking and Serving 3 Liter

I always wanted this type of vessel in my kitchen as it's the safest to cook in but you cannot get it until you yourself travel and get it from the down south of our country. So a big thank you to Amazon for it.The packing was good but had some one dropped it in transit I would have just recd. clay pieces. I feel more care should be taken for that or at least handling instructions should be written on the package. Thank fully mine came just fine with a few cracks on the lid as seen in the pic but I do not want to send it back just for the small reason.Now the utensil is very well made and solid and is perfectly seasoned you can just cook in it with just washing it once u receive it. It's so well seasoned that it almost looks like a glazed pot but actually it is not.Most important info I wanted to share is that I had once bought a small clay pot for 200/- from a local potter and used it but believe me the next time i added water and boiled it there were a lot of debris and dirt which had got into the pores and I never felt like cooking in it again. I did not find any such issue with this one. Every time I add water and boil it's perfectly clean.The cooking is so uniform that you are surely gonna love it. I used some kneaded flour and put it on dum too. Worked very well for the chicken dish. Unlike the shredded pieces we get in the cooker it was just soft and juicy and intact.Just some small cracks on the lid but then they don't make much of the difference till the time the main pot does not leak.I appreciate the people who have made it and the people who helped them and me in sending it.The pot is big enough to cook 1.5 kilos of chicken, mutton or fish in it. Product was completely intact and delivered on time. Cooking is not at all slow once you start using it frequently. Cleaning is little challenging but that much pain will have to take if we want good food. Handle with care product. When you cook in this pot it uplifts your mood with the smell of flavor. Kudos to the product i have ordered one more pot after using this one. Thanks

Pot is big and robust. But there is weird smell that comes for the first month (even more in my case). I don’t think this is chemical free.PS - I did season the pot (took 2 days) as per the instructions provided and a lot f youtube videos.

I use it for cooking large portions of curry . Very big and sturdy but I guess it will take time for it to get seasoned well

The experience has been good till now. Though I do not use it on a daily basis. The utensil is certainly heavy.It adds nice taste to the food, especially if you are making non vegetarian items.

Writing the review after cooking chicken in it.The taste was something which will give an ultimate satisfaction.If you are fan of food cooked on chulha then can go for it because it gives taste similar to that .Yes requires little care while cleaning n cooking but then again it's worth it.

Good product but scratch comes on the lid after a week
