I really like it, good enough for the price.
Battery last long, sound is good, storage is big enough.

Pretty Good.
I bought this to replace a much-used 8gb mp3 which I lost on holiday. I'm not an iPod fan and it seemed that every device over 4gb (and I needed an 8gb one) was a square iPod or simliar with video playback and whatever else. This ticked most of my boxes for its shape, size and the fact that it's mp3 only. I have only been using it for three weeks but so far I have no issues. I personally had no problem using it with my Windows 7 laptop and it has never switched itself off accidentally. It is sensitive to jostling but if you want to go jogging, the key lock prevents it from switching off. The sound quality is good, even with a cheap set of headphones, the only ones I buy as I soon break them. Loading music is easy-just drag and drop. The joystick is a little fiddly until you get used to it but now I like the fact that most of the controls are in one place. I would have liked it to have a voice feature. The mic on the case doesn't do anything. Apparently the same case was used for a different model. You also can't rewind beyond the start of a track and into the end of the next, which is handy for finding a specific bit towards the end of a long track, or scroll quickly through tracks in a folder. The latter is easily overcome as you can scroll quickly through tracks in the playing view and go into the folder towards the end. That said, the fast forward and rewind speed is good and you have a good choice of play modes, AB repeat and equalizers.Overall, I would say this is a good buy. There are not many 8gb mp3 players of this style on the market and if you're not an iPod fan it's a good alternative. It could be a little faster to operate (although I personally like the fact that you have to hold down to power on and off, it saves accidentally doing it) and the controls are a little clumsy until you get used to them but then quite easy. It stores a lot of music, sound quality and features are good and the price is ok. I would have given it 5 if it had a voice feature and you could rewind from the end of a track. Battery life is very good and I find the disposable batteries very convenient. The battery cap, USB cap and headphone socket are secure.

One of my best buy! Excellent for jogging.
OK. It's not the best MP3 player around, but for the price you get everything you need.My reasons for buying was because my Nokia mobile just became too heavy whilst jogging, it would jump up and down in my pocket. This was ideal as it was so light. It also has a standard headphone socket, so I could continue using my sport headphones without buying an annoying adaptor. This also came with a AAA battery already, for those that don't know this is one of those slimmer cylinder type ones. It lasted about 5 hours but wasn't the best of brands, i would expect a major brand one would give more hours.I'm not expert on MP3's but compared to my phone this has nice features. It has a digital display which scrolls showing you the name of the songs, even when you switch off the player and switch it on again and press play it plays the same song you were playing before. It is handy for jogging as the scroll button is large enough meaning you don't even have to take it out your pocket to change to the next song. The same switch can be pushed vertically to adjust the volume. As this switch is on one side rather than in the near center you can always work out which way to push it without looking at it intensely. There is also a locking function and repeat song or all, bascially all basic functions including illuminated display. The setup allows you to select several major languages, whilst on the screen displays which number of song you playing eg. 12/100 and the time passed of the song. It always indicates the battery level (which like most such battery indicators isn't perfect) and volume. There is also a mic input built in although i have not tested this but seems a pretty good idea for secretly recording someone. This was just a bit more expensive than a lower capacity Mp3 player so I thought i'd get this. Of course, with time there will be larger capacity MP3 players at the same price or cheaper so look around. No probs with Windows 7 64bit, works just like any standard USB disk, no need to install drivers. In conclusion, if your looking for a budget MP3 player, get this one, you won't regret it.
