Is this a good choice to get rid of kitchen cooking odors?

Not a chance! It does a great job of working as advertised to clean stale air in any smaller room quietly and efficiently, but if it can't remove the smell of dinner that's been made downstairs from an upstairs bedroom, it's highly unlikely to keep your kitchen or immediately adjacent rooms from smelling like whatever you're having for dinner tonight, or possibly even last night! Also keep in mind the longer the unit is used, the sooner the hepa filter needs to be replaced, which at a current Amazon price of ~$26 is > half the original cost of the unit. For us that's been approx. every 4-6 months, so it's not the most economical choice either! Wish I'd paid closer attention to that when purchasing the unit.

How well does this work with marijuana smoke?

Hi, fellow and very heavy Marijuana user here! I bought this filter for that exact purpose. I found the original filter thats included does an OKAY job of filtering smell and great job of filtering smoke however it still will linger a bit. The best solution i found was to simply buy a higher end 4 stage hepa filter and now there is no smell and all smoke is cleared out of my living room within minutes! Hope this helps 😁

Does this work for cigarette smoke?

Yes. My husband purchased me one of these because I could not stand the smell of his smoke of both kinds. He smoked in bedroom and it was getting on my clothes and my hair smelled of it because the pillow stench from his smoking. For people who don't smoke, we can smell it more. 24 hours after using this machine, I could tell a 100% difference. Now this newer version I am buying as essential oil place. Absolutely I love to this month.

There is no ozone generator in the one that I have so it doesn't emit ozone.

Perfect for pet owners

Works perfect for my room. I have cats so helps clear the smell of cat box. Also helps with reducing the animal fur and dust in the air. It’s small so stays outta the way doesn’t make to much noise so don’t even know it’s there.

Great product and very affordable

Amazing product. I use it for my bedroom and sometimes put it in my living room. It's obviously not meant for larger rooms above 200 square feet, so if you need to purify larger spaces consider getting two or search for larger units. I noticed a huge change in the air quality after a couple of hours.
