seems to be working
Made sure it was a warm day, and dry, before applying. Went on fairly easy, and has been on for a good month now, and seems to be holding on very securely. Neighbor came over for inspection, and noted it was attached solid.

Perfect fit
Very easy installation and perfect fit. Came with detailed instructions and alcohol wipes. I used additional wipes for my dirty window channels. I rated 4 stars because I don't like the AVS gray logo on the deflector.

Ok product
Was as if the clear plastic packaging was adhered to the red plastic covering on the double sided tape. When i took them out of packaging it pulled the red plastic off of the double sided tape so i had to install them without the use of the red plastic covering which made it more challenging than it should have been. Id say they were stored somewhere in a hot environment prior to my purchase and thats what lead to the above conditions. They do fit well though and are on the truck, just waiting the 24hrs with windows up before i lower windows and put them into full fledged service. 2000 toyota tacoma standard cab short bed 4x4.

Great way to beat the weather!
I wanted something like these for a long time, especially since I moved to Texas where the weather changes at the drop of a hat. They were very easy to install and haven't budged since I installed them. It didn't come with any type of cleaning swabs, so I took an alcohol swab and cleaned the window track where the tape is going to stick to and let it dry for a few minutes. After dry fitting the ventshades, it was a very quick and easy install. I've driven around on rainy days and had no issues with water coming into the truck with the windows cracked a decent amount. Leaving the truck out in the parking lot resulted in a dry interior during the rain storms that have blown through. The shades are tinted pretty dark and do make the area out of the window where the shade is installed a little hard to see since it's slightly distorted, but nothing that causes much concern. Once you install the shades, leave the windows up for the full 24 hrs before rolling the windows down as this applies pressure to the areas with the tape. I noticed at first after the install that the window would catch/bump the ventshades every time I roll the window up past the ventshades. After leaving the windows up for the recommended 24 hours, I hadn't noticed the windows bumping into the ventshades. They are a low profile design that don't stick out much past the side of the truck, which is a nice touch. The fact they are installed inside the window track makes it look a whole lot better than those that are stuck to the outside of the truck, since those sometimes can look off due to the color of the vehicle and the ventshades not matching. All in all, a very very good investment. I do worry what will happen to the rubber within the window track once I try to peel these off in the distant future when they start to crack from the weather....but time will tell.I completely recommend these to anyone with at least a 2001 Tacoma Extended Cab, since that is what I have and can say for certain they do fit.
