Creek Koolers are the best!
Absolutely love these coolers. I bought one back in the beginning of 2020 for our multi-day river trips to help create space on our kayaks. TOTAL GAME CHANGER!!! Not only did we create space by eliminating a cooler on board but it retained the ice longer and kept our items colder because it was in the water helping the cooler stay colder longer. That being said there are some drawbacks. We have noticed that once the ice becomes water, the motion of the river rocks the Creek Kooler and it will flip and can open :( This has happopened to us a few times. Thankfully we didn't lose much only a few Capri Suns. We absolutely hate that these wound up somewhere downstream because we were unable to retrieve them. Really wish the Creek Kooler had a locking mechanism for the lid for just this reason. Also to be expected, since you are towing/dragging the Creek Kooler it does create a bit of drag and can make control a little more difficult but nothing you can't compensate for. Not only would I highly recommend this product even with the cons but I actually purchased a second one for the 2021 season so we expanded our adventures.

Great cooler for the river.
Great cooler for the river. You will never worry about this one popping. Keeps drinks ice cold. Went on a 3 hour kayak trip. Still had plenty of ice. This cooler is a great value for the money. Very sturdy. We will get many years of use. Thank you for making this cooler. Some of my friends have purchased this cooler too.

Happy Birthday to me!
I finally broke down and bought myself a white 30qt Creekcooler after about 6 months of debating with myself if it's worth the money and reading / watching reviews due to it being a $150 cooler. Let me start off by saying I made the right choice and finally went for it as a birthday gift to myself. I recieved it days earlier than I was suppose to. Now even though I haven't tested it out yet. Kayaking season is only a couple of months away. When taking it out of the box it was way bigger than I thought & expected which wasn't bad thing. Built with a strong thick plastic material like my kayak, it looks like it can take a hit or 2 if Im going through small class 1 rapids with my kayak & the storage it has is incredible even if using it as a dry storage or a few cases of beer on a sunny day on the sandbar. Few cons though. The rope handles that are on there one already busted and became lose when I tugged on it with a leash hooked to it for when pulling it behind my kayak. So I had to use some paracord and make myself stronger and better tied handles. Also replaced the string on the lid with paracord as well just in case after the handle came undone. But the biggest issue I have with my Creekcooler is I have a REALLY hard time trying to twisting and closing the lid. It doesnt always line up and I have to push down and trying to get it to twist after many failed attempts to the point to where I have forced it on. It's kind of irritating because I wont be able to push down that hard when I'm on the water in my kayak or I'll more then likely tip and than capsize and I really dont want that & I've pitched the tips of my fingers multiple times while trying to close it as well. I'm not sure it theres something wrong with mine or not but I feel it should be this hard to put a lid on.So besides the lid issue and the struggle Im having when closing it along with the worry I have of capsizing because of this is why it's not getting a 5 star rating. Over all it's amazing cooler & good buy. I'm glad I finally made the decision to get it.

Very good for towing behind a Kayak
I purchased an inflatable cooler awhile back hoping that I could use it for towing cold drinks behind my kayak, but the amount of additional drag that it added made it particularly unsuited to such a task. I decided to pick up the Creek Kooler even though the price was a bit higher than I wanted to pay (especially after already wasting money on an inferior product), and I am extremely happy that I did. The Creek Kooler is larger than I expected it to be. Standing at nearly 6' tall, this cooler is about as tall as my waist when stood on its end. It is a bit heavy, but I was very pleased to find that even if I load the cooler down to maximum capacity that the amount of additional drag is not extreme. I have found that securing the cooler to my kayak with an very short lash improves the experience of pulling the cooler behind my kayak, and for rivers with even a modest current the Creek Kooler is a delight to pull. Drag becomes more significant when there is no current to help push you along, and when moving against the current it becomes more extreme still, but moving even upstream is possible while towing this cooler behind your craft. The Creek Kooler is very durable, and it is fully water-tight when the lid is properly secured (I tested this by attempting to submerge the cooler). I have taken this cooler on multiple overnight or multi-day kayaking runs, and even after pulling the Creek Kooler for over 20 miles I did not find that it significantly added to the amount of work that was required to keep my kayak moving along at a steady pace. One other thing that I have found that I truly love about this cooler is that it tends to spark conversations with passers-by. I cannot count the number of times over the month or so that I have owned this thing which someone out on the water commented on it, or asked where I got it from.

Absolute Garbage. Customer Service on par with Product Quality
I bought this for a 3 mile kayak trip. I filled it with ice and made sure the lid was secured. When I arrived at my destination, all that I had was saltwater. I don’t know how long I was dragging saltwater behind me, but there was no ice left at all. Even when I returned the cooler, there was still saltwater trapped in the lid. I sent the cooler back and just got my refund today. It was for exactly half of what I paid for it. They charged me a restocking fee and blamed me for the quality that the cooler was returned in. So it’s my fault that their product was defective? This cooler does not come as a single molded part. There is a top and bottom, it is riveted together and caulked to “seal” it. I honestly had a lot of high hopes for this and I am surprised at how badly I was let down. I can handle an item being defective, but the fact that they blamed me for the faults in their product is absurd. There is no way I would have know it was junk if I didn’t use it, so of course I returned a used product. But I used it gently and in every manner that it should have been able to handle. I can’t get over the nerve that they had to not tell me this was a possibility, and then to just refund half my money. I am hoping to hear from an apology from the company, but until then, this review serves as a testament to what should be expected if you have issues with their product. Also, the cooler is really tough to pull, it creates a lot of drag and made my trip exhausting. Though that may have been because all I was pulling was saltwater, not the less dense ice that I started off with. Either way, do not buy this!!

Perfect!
Thought it was expensive and a little bit too much but I was giving them the benefit of the doubt. It’s very sturdy made out of good material insulated well seals all right floats really good loading down holds a considerable amount of everything impressed by it. Still out I sent it after a day on the water in the sun. very recommended.

Tough durable product. Good cooling
Very tough construction. With ice it keeps food cold for days kayak camping. We froze our water to be the ice for rhe days. Also froze some food to be the ice and extend the ice life. Air it out when you get it. Has a plastic funk to it initially. Update: used it for a weekend trip. Rugged ut behind the 125 kayak and use bright orange pool noodles to keep towlines afloat. Worked great. Will make permamanet tow eyes. Big hint..use the bix wine bags, thoroughly cleaned and frozen. Works great as the ice for the cooler and as it melts use it for cooking and drinking water. I had 2 wine box bags and they were still half ice block after a weekend if kayaking and camping. Could use a bigger flag hole. Tough to find a flag that fits.

bittersweet
good and bad: good: its great no matter the rocks or whatever it doesn't ever dump out, it does a great job keeping stuff cold for about 2-3 days. bad: no drain hole, very hard to get water out. don't dare put anything like food in it. you will never be able to get it clean - the way the handle is to attach to the kayak its not made to attach its made for a handle, its a great handle but to attach it and drag it it wants to slip to one side or the other therefor dragging your kayak in a zig zag, don't be in a hurry and expect every one else to have to wait for you a lot. if it had a way of connecting exactly in the middle and staying there it would be much better, - it takes a lot of ice to cover the cans-bottles - whatever . its so long, to get 3-4 feet in length and 4 inches in height to cover your beverages thats a lot of ice... but i must say its worth it. if this was the only problem i would have given it 5 stars and probably not even mentioned it. - the gasket that came with it ( i think thats what its called, like a rubber washer under the lid to prevent leaks) that lasted one trip, it was not attached in any way and floated away ( it was pretty flimsy..for the price anyhow) - the rope-string that attaches the lid is flimsy and is probably going to come undone soon. its not nearly what i would expect for the price - the lid doesn't attach straight and easily like you would expect for the price. its almost like there is a gap. overall i would not recommend this particular model but i love the idea and i think with some tweaks here and there on the design it could be a real winner!! definatley figure out a way to clean it!! and make it float straight. its a great idea. i really love it but have to admit a little disappointed due to the high price i expected the kinks to be already worked out. not to pay this much to be a product tester. it is pricy . i have kayaks that where cheaper.
