Now That's What I Call Music! 66

Fantastic Album! One of the best in the series!
I have a fair few of these Now CD's and have been a regular collector since Now 74 onwards but I thought i'd get this CD as it has got lots of songs that i have heard of already plus a few i haven't heard before, and i wasn't disapointed one bit! The selection of music chosen for this CD is absolutely superb and it couldn't of been any better! Loads of my favourite Indie/Rock band are on here such as Take That, Kaiser Chiefs, Snow Patrol, The Killers, U2, Klaxons, The Fratellis, The Feeling, Razorlight and the Fray. And all of the songs by these artists are some of their very best. As for the other songs that make up this CD there are loads of good ones to choose from such as the very heart warming 'Lil Star' from Kelis featuring Cee-Lo Green from Gnarls Barkley to the club thumping 'Truly Madly Deeply' from Cascada. There are so many great songs that there isn't one bad one on here. This is one thing the newer Now! albums seriously lack. Back in these good old days there was plenty of great songs and now unfortunatly they are polluted with Auto-tune rubbish. What has happened to all the great Indie Bands i have mentioned above? My answer? They have been replaced with far less satisfying artists like Justin Biber (Ugh!), JLS, The Wanted, Lady GaGa, Pixie Lott, Bruno Mars, Tinchy Stryder, Jessie J and Rihanna (I know she's been going for a little while now) all of which have dragged the series down completely. The newer CD's are always guaranteed to have a handful of songs that you're not going to like and lack loads of good songs. But not this one. All of the Now CD's between 74 and 80 which i own don't even come close to being as good as this one. I remember someone saying on here for one of the Now! CD's that they started to go downhill from Now! 72 and i completely agree. That was when Lady GaGa made her debut with her first song 'Just Dance' and Tinchy Stryder also appeared for the first time with 'Take Me Back' with Taio Cruz. But yeah this CD is absolutely cracking and has the newer Now! CD's beat any day. My copy is currently at work and i love listening to it every now and then, makes a nice change from listening to the radio. However i did already have quite a lot of songs before i purchased this CD, but it doesn't bother me one bit. That's how good this CD is. So glad i bought it, well worth the money! I paid around just £3 something which is an absolute bragain yet i pay £11 for the far less satisfying Now 80. Can't complain!

Another top purchase from Amazon!
I bought this CD and I'm really glad that I did! It has tracks that would be great at a party, and starts with Mika's great "Grace Kelly" song - no wonder it was a no.1 single! "Acceptable In The 80's" is another reason to go clubbing, as this track would probably be begging to be part of the playlist! The Feeling's "Love It When You Call" reminds people that you're getting another chat with your best friends, and it's only on a phone!! Ha-ha-ha! Go on a date courtesy of "She's My Man" from Scissor Sisters, and try life-saving with "How To Save A Life" by The Fray, and you've got another reason to keep on buying the Now compilations! Value for money - oh yeah! Entry to a bargain bin - not a chance! Buy it and love it!
