After building the stands, which was as easy as pie, upon putting the Samsung rear surround speaker onto the stand, I found it would lean forward with the weight of said speakers, which were well under the specified max weight. Good quality item, just let down by the leaning Tower of Pisa impression.

I have been looking for a reasonable and discreet stand for my Sony rear speakers and took a chance on these ones when they dropped to a decent price. Having used Hama products previously I expected a decent product, and that's basically what I got. The stands are slim and discreet and have small bases which helps if you have limited space. They also extend just far enough to slightly above ear level when seated, which is what I wanted. Assembly was straight forward and everything was set-up in 15-20 minutes. My speakers are pretty light, so I had no issues using the included fixtures to fix them into place tightly. That said, maybe it's because they're so thin, they don't feel the sturdiest to touch, but I can't imagine them toppling over. There is an option to feed the cables through the stands, but that seemed fiddly so I opted for the wrap around technique instead. Good value speaker stands are surprisingly difficult enough to find, so all in all these were a great purchase for the price.

The products do exactly what they're meant to do. (I used them for mounting Samsung SWA-8500S surround speakers). Their all metal construction is robust and suitable for small speaker enclosures - not medium size. Assembly is simple and therefore a B.Eng is not required! The instructions are adequate but recommends the assistance of a second person when mounting the product. I would not recommend any assistance from a spouse or partner as a dispute will ensue! However, assistance from a 7-12 year old child may be useful to feed the cables inside the stands.

Absolutely rock solid, satisfyingly heavy, and easy to set up and adjust, though I had to take the grommets out at the top of the stands to get a decent thickness of cable through, Spend the extra £10 on these; you will not regret it. I just wish they came in white as well.

I got these as a temporary set up, I will likely upgrade them in a year or so and wouldn’t advise them for homes where they need to be moved a lot or might be “played with” by children. I like the general feel and look of the powder coating. The hook and loop (Velcro) is VERY strong … stronger than the glue, so when you try to remove the speaker from the baseplate after setting it up, the sticky side of it might pull away from the surface entirely rather than the hook and loop. Only two strips of hook and loop were supplied and for me I felt one strip per speaker was inadequate and actually made the speaker unbalanced on the baseplate. You could purchase two additional strips or it might be ok to just cut the supplied strips into 8 squares (4 per strip) and add them to the corners of the baseplate/speaker (I would do it that way if I hadn’t already used two strips for one speaker). I agree with other reviews that they feel a bit unstable and need to be placed somewhere they won’t be regularly knocked or moved around. The instructions are quite small and a bit unclear. For the price I think they are ok.

Work great although I had to get some new fixings for the actual speakers but it wasn't a massive issue or expense.

The wire will go up the inside & there is a small hole at the top to get it out before you fix the top.The bracket gets in the way of connecting the wire in the back of the speaker so you have to wire that up first.

Perfect size and easy to set up , not a large footprint so can be easily placed without interfering

Product hard to put together: wiring the cables through the pipe was a pain, but in the end we got it working. Do NOT expect to be able to use higher quality cables, as they will not fit. The base has a sticky pad stuck to the bottom, but that had already let go of the base, so I just removed all (bought 2 sets, 4 stands in total). Functional, but awkward, so don't expect a design item ;)

Dos años usándolos y cumplen su cometido perfectamente, al principio no estaba muy confiado por la estabilidad, pero ahora puedo decir sin duda que a no ser que lo golpees no se tumban XD
