Body Armor 4x4 JK-2961Black - Steel Rear Base Bumper for 2007-2013 Jeep JK

I like it. everything lines up great. bolts and hardware were correct and fit great. The powder coating was good. I did repair a small scuff on a corner where the box was damaged from UPS. I order lots of stuff shipped via UPS, and let me tell ya if it is a heavy object they will destroy the box.Installation on my 2013 JK was easy. I have a 35 inch spare tire with a large tire spacer and there is plenty of clearance. the large tire spacer pushed a spare tire away from the tailgate about 4 inches. the tire would hit any bumper without the spacer.A tip for all this is to have handy a can of satin black spray paint. After you remove the stock bumper you will find some scratches on the frame metal that will be exposed with the new bumper. just clean it up a bit and shoot some paint on it before installing the bumper.I trimmed the inner fender on my fender flair up with a box knife a bit. the inner fender extends below the outer fender to mate up to the old bumper. It is just thin plastic and easy to cut flush.

Arrived undamaged. Very easy to install, had help and took less than an hour. Looks nice, only reason for a four star rating is it looks a bit thinner metal than the higher priced bumpers, but I still think its an extremely good value for price.Only poem I have is my trailer light connecter guard door wont open due to clearance issues, but I think that will be an easy fix. Factory hitch clearance is no problem.

Nice basic bumper, priced about right. Installed very easily, 30 minutes. No quality issues noted. The only drawback is that the bumper is mostly flat and does not protect the rear corners. If I had to do it again, I'd try to find something that would wrap around similar to the OEM bumper. Still, I'm pretty happy with how this came out. Looks great.Update: It's been about a year since I've had this and it's lasting fine, no paint flaking or cracking in my desert environment.Update 2. A few years have gone by, still looks great. I found that there is a tire size restriction of about 33 inches. I have a 285/70R17 and it just barely fits. (See photos). However, I've found there are spare tire relocation brackets for about $35 that will help with this by pushing the tire out and up just a bit.

as is the case with other reviewers, arrived with some paint chipped off. wrapped in a little bubble wrap which is not enough to protect from damage when box tossed around so much that the bumper busted holes through it. they really shod add something better along the corners of bumper. . i bought some paint to fix it. had they done that I'd give five stars. instructions pretty straight forward.easy to remove stock bumper and hook as long as you have breaker bar. took me 20 minutes tops to remove stock and 15 to install new bumper with the help of a 15 year old girl. not too heavy. installed with stick hitch still attached. looks great with add on D-rings.

I had high hopes for this bumper. It looks nice and is solidly built for the price. However, I had to return mine because my 255/80R17 spare on the stock tire carrier would not clear the bumper. Someone had posted on Amazon that this bumper would accommodate a 35" tire, this is simply not the case as the 255/80R17 is a 33" tire and does not fit on a 2008 rubicon. The original stock tire was 255/75R17 which is only about a 1" difference in diameter. So it would seem that this bumper is only a good fit with the original stock tire size and even then the clearance is going to be tighter than with the OEM rubicon bumper. I'm really disappointed that it didn't work out because this bumper is definitely a big improvement over the stock one. I suppose if you have even slightly larger than stock tires, you will need to go with the model that has the spindle for the optional tir carrier, but for me that is way outside my budget.

It only took about 30 minutes to install this (i already had the old one off). Looks great and seems way more substantial. One other nice thing is the section under the tire is flat so you can use it as a step to get up into the back of the Jeep. Just like others have commented, the packaging is not good at all. The box was half destroyed and I am surprised the bumper was in as good a shape as it was.

Package arrived on time, box was a little beat up, minor (very small) blemishes after un packing.. but that's what you get when you ship items that are 50lbs or more.Install is pretty straight forward, took about an hour. Found some trouble with the frame inserts having a bit of welding slag near the threads. After running the supplied bolts threw the threads, they took without stripping.I purchased this bumper to match the front bumper that was already installed. (purchased my 08 JKU Sahara used), otherwise I would have picked another option. Cosmetic wise it looks good, price is good for what you get.Gave it 4 stars, only because it leaves the corners of the JK a bit more exposed than I would like.. which is fine for this point, as the jeep is 90% street currently.

Only weighs 49 pounds and replaces the factory PLASTIC bumper. The factory rear metal frame rail, located behind the oem plastic bumper stays in place and this Body Armor one cocoons it.Only 8 bolts to get the factory off and 8 bolts to put this one back on. Took less than an hour in my driveway with hand tools.It is really solid, perfectly symmetrical, fits tight up to the vehicle. Finish is really nice EXCEPT where the d-ring mounts had poked thru the box on transit to me.I dropped it a star because, the d-ring mounts on the bumper were completely sticking through the side of the box. They need to package the bumper better. The powder coating was rubbed down to the bare metal on the tips of the exposed d-ring mounts.
