Academy USAAF B-29A "Old Battler" Vehicle Building Kit

I collect and build 1/72 scale models . I build both WW2 and modern planes . I have long wanted a 1/72 of the B-29. I like kits that have good detail , particularly in the cockpit areas , and in bombers , the bomb bay . This kit is fantastic in both areas . I am amazed at the detail in the cockpit and bomb bay . The cockpit includes all of the positions, pilot co-pilot , etc, and the bomb bay has a full set of 500 pound bombs .I love this kit .

doesn’t come with paint! says so in the description, also doesn’t come with glue!! this build was an awesome gift for my boyfriend he loves old plane models <3 he finished it in a day, he’s worked on some in the past so that’s also something. great gift!! the size was roughly like a textbook, ya know like a civics/econ or those thick math textbooks.

it's not silver like the Enola Gay.

Model is just right. Nice size and pieces are detailed perfectly to fit this scale.

This model fills a niche in my collection that I'd thought would always be lacking. I'm pleased to see that extra parts allow me to use my imagination to create either a bomber or early air tanker. I'm very pleased with the instructions and the fit of the parts. Decal markings leave a little to be desired but that is easily rectified with the aftermarket.

Excellent model. Very detailed and informative about the crew areas.

This was a fun model to build. Its instructions are a little hard to follow and understand and some of the fitment of parts is a bit "fun". this is why 4 stars instead of 5.

Assembly hard, but very fun. Also relaxing. Lots of parts, which I like. Would like to see people with kit to put in seats. All in all, great kit.
