This wire is 100% aluminum, no copper in it, carefully consider your application, aluminum has more resistance than copper, this wire WILL NOT carry as much current as a copper wire will. The only advantage to this wire is the weight is much lighter than copper- this wire would compare to something between 10ga and 12ga copper wire...

Wire is wire, but I bought the paired wire, and I'm impressed with the overall quality. This will feed a small, 500 watt inverter in the back of my RV. It will run from the battery bank on the tongue all the way to the rear of the coach. It's easy to handle, fits in 1/2" conduit, and the jacket seems to be high quality. Check with me in 5 years. I can't comment on heat resistance, because my application doesn't call for that, and the wire is the right size for the distance (about 25 feet terminal to terminal) and the potential 40 amp DC load.

I wish this product was around over 20 years ago when I worked on a lot of vehicles installing amplifiers. Thick jacket but easy to cut and pretty flexible. Wires are easy to pull apart and having them together is easy for wire loom and an overall cleaner look. I wish they made a 4 guage version too.

This wire was just the ticket for my amateur radio install.

I had to protect (insulate) some parts of the red cable after separate it from the black one.

Wire is right size, but having a problem with it corroding & breaking off after soldering, Have used different soldering methods & types of solder, still corrodes.

Works great, I used them to hook my solar panel to my controller. Perfect thickness and is doing well outside. And nice having black and red
