what horse power is this engine

Small engines are no longer rated in HP. This would be rated at 9.50 foot pounds of torque.

Will this mount the same and have the same shaft height as a 1980 5hp b&g model 130202?

I don't know if that specific model is a direct replacement dimensionally, but I swapped out a 1980s vintage B&S on a log splitter with this engine. It was a perfect alignment.

The way to determine the horse power is divide the CC by a constant (i forgot the constant( see the attached web site. I have a old merry tiller will this work on it?

It should work. I put one on an old craftsman tiller. You just have to transfer the pulley from the old engine.
