No lead in the brass rods, but these brass rods not suitable for food and drink water.

will these hold up a barbie doll okay if I affix it to the dolls torso or would they be too flimsy?

They're meant for making knives and are made of brass. I would imagine even the thinnest ones (1mm). would be able to support a Barbie doll if you had a proper pedestal

I don't know if these are brass or not, I don't know a lot about metallurgy. I needed pins for the handle of a knife, wanted brass colored, and these were roughly the right size for the hole in the knife tang. I say roughly because the hole in the tang was a little undersized so I had to sand them down a bit to fit. Good quality product without any brittleness. Very pleased.
