PACKAGING Loved the slim, space-efficient packaging. The Buffy comforter comes in a simple, cardboard box much like a pizza box. Inside, the Buffy is vacuum sealed, so you know that you’re the first one to come in contact with it since the factory and that it hasn’t been rubbing around against the inside of the box. Cute designs on the inside, too! MATERIAL The comforter itself feels so lush once you take it out. The outer layer is incredibly smooth and makes you want to bury your face into it. It was able to “decompress” and usable almost immediately. I fanned it a couple times to give it some shape. SLEEPING I would call this a medium-weight comforter. In the coldest of winter nights, unless this thing is wrapped tightly around your body, I would not count on it keeping you totally toasty. That being said, this is what made it perfect for me - I run hot and the Buffy really does somehow have a “cooling” effect to it. My heat is able to escape, the temperature of the comforter itself is well-maintained, and I don’t sweat! All in all, this made it a big winner in my book, even beyond the soft luxuriousness of it. ENVIRONMENTAL FEELS Lastly, I really love that Buffy has gone out of the way to use sustainable materials to make their comforter. It shouldn’t be a reason alone to buy it, but the fact that they can construct Buffy to this level of comfort with the use of landfill bottles makes me feel good about myself and my purchase decision. Definitely the right product for someone looking for a suuuuper comfortable mid-weight comforter. They live up to their promise!

I was obsessed with my down comforter, and was a bit scared to try something new when it came time to replace it. But I'm SO happy with my new Buffy comforter! It is sleek looking, which I personally love! It's also super cozy, and I feel like my body temperature is regulating much better than with a heavy down comforter (so i'm definitely looking forward to the summer months now). I was nervous when I took it out of the box that it looked too thin, but it definitely puffs up (and it's not too puffy either). Some may argue that this is a little too pricey for a comforter...but considering what it's made of, the fact that it is definitely great quality, and will last many years, it's 100% worth the cost! I'm excited to see what other products Buffy has in the future.

I absolutely love my Buffy duvet insert!! I really appreciate that it's a sustainable alternative to down--something important for my personal ethos and values. I also was so surprised at how lightweight and relatively thin the comforter is! It's still so warm and comfortable and doesn't make me overheat (which is a problem that I've experience before with down comforters and other cooling alternatives). The comforter itself feels super luxurious and silky to the touch and you can tell that it's really nice and high quality. I also like that it's more lightweight because that makes it much more easy to maneuver getting in and out of duvet covers, and it has the little tabs on the corners that you can tie to the insides of your duvet cover, which is so helpful and prevents bunching. I would definitely purchase this comforter again for the guest room in my apartment! Getting out of the bed in the morning is that much more difficult thanks to my Buffy comforter!

This is the second one I bought for myself. It’s my very favorite blanket. The other one I had since 2019 and I used it every day. Even when I bought really expensive comforters and nice ones for decoration nothing is like your buffy. I bought several for other people as well as gifts.

After many, many years using a down comforter in the winter [missing the comfort but not the warmth in the summer] as well as down pillows, I was told by my allergist I needed to ditch the down. Even washing the pillows a few times a year was a no-go for the advice I got. ENTER the BUFFY... 1. Liked the minimal packaging. I wish it was a compostable plastic but sure was nice to not have plastic inside of plastic, nor a HUGE box to deliver if it were another company. 2. Once out of the packaging I put onto my bed fluffing it as if it was down.. flapping, flapping etc. 3. Yes, wrinkled but I put it into a duvet. Normally this is a huge feat. The fabric of the BUFFY slid into the cover. I was really surprised how little struggle I had. This is a huge WIN. Again, the wrinkles would bother me if I didn't have a duvet. 4. I cannot say it helped heat or cool but what I can say is it was comfortable for me all night. I don't like heavy blankets and like it cool. It seemed a weight I like and I didn't wake up too warm. 5. Like others, I was surprised it is made in China. I am unclear why several customers like myself assumes USA manufactured. 6. As I said, I have a duvet. I would suggest a duvet if you have pets, and if you don't want to dry clean but a few times. Possibly seek out an organic dry cleaner as a compromise. 7. The only reason I didn't give 5 starts is because of China manufacturing and the wrinkles. The product itself was a WINNER for me.

So, the reason why I gave this comforter only three stars is because it claimed to a little cooler than your average comforter, but I found it after having it for about 2 months or so now, I'm sweating like a pig under it. I even bought the duvet from them to see if it helped but it still didn't really help. Though I do love how soft, comfortable, cozy and it is light weighted. The other thing I found is that it does wrinkle easily especially in the morning when you have laid on it. I mean like wrinkle that doesn't go away. But again overall I do like it but not what I expected for the price.

Writing with an update one year later. I noticed there were questions about washing the buffy comforter. We did have some redistribution of the eucalyptus stuffing, but if you partially dry it and then air dry it the rest of the way it'll dry as soft and fluffy as it was when it arrived. I also want to say that it is so soft, and gets softer with age, that we have still not put a duvet cover on it. But now that I know Buffy makes duvet covers, I will absolutely look into purchasing one! This comforter got me through a super hot, super humid summer, keeping me cool at night. I really can't recommend enough. I bought this comforter a few weeks ago and I absolutely love it. A friend recommended it to me, so I figured I'd give it a try. I seriously cannot say enough positive things about this comforter! The whole customer experience, from the moment I ordered it, to its arrival, was delightful. The tone of the correspondence is conversational and fun, and the branding--down to the package the comforter arrives in--is sleek, beautiful, and bright. A real joy. When I opened the package, the comforter expanded to its full size within moments, and a pleasant, light fragrance of eucalyptus wafted out of the bag. The outside fabric is so soft, and keeps getting softer. The filling is so light and fluffy that it literally feels like sleeping in a cloud, and yet it keeps us super warm and temperate at night. We originally bought this comforter to put inside a duvet cover, but it's so soft and lovely that we've ditched the duvet and started sleeping under our Buffy alone. The fragrance fades super quick, if you're worried about that. As if you needed more reasons to get behind this comforter (aside from the price point, the customer service, and the overall quality of the product), I feel so glad knowing I'm supporting a company that is actively innovating eco-friendly solutions to textile production. Go buy this comforter!

So first off, despite my low rating, this is a very quality product. It has a very classy aesthetic, looks and feels luxurious. I was sold on it, as it claimed to be a "cooler" sleeping comforter. DO NOT buy this unless you are someone who finds yourself on the cooler side, maybe even often cold, or chilly. As a hot sleeper, I roast under this thing. As in, I have to put a towel down even fully nude. This is living in Montana, where night lately have been 20ish degrees. No heat on, house frigidly cool - sweating buckets under this. I read other reviews where hot sleepers were also very disappointed with their purchase. It's doubly frustrating because this is a really beautiful, comfy, cozy comforter. Almost cloud like. I wanted to love it, I've given it months to adapt to. I return date ended in June in fact. What you need to realize first and foremost, only the outer shell of this comforter is composed of Eucalyptus fibre. The inside filling is all recycled, bpa-free plastic. On top of that, it's dry-clean only as it's rather large. A white this pristine gets dirty very easily, so be real careful if you have small children and/or fur children that love to invade your cozy bed. TL;DR: I can honestly say, this is the hottest sleeping comforter I've experienced. Even compared to heavier comforters. However, it would be a luxurious slice of heaven for someone that finds themselves cold often, I mean that sincerely. It's a beautiful product, well made and just pleasurable to use. As a hot sleeper though, I have literally sweated so much I wake up from leg cramps in the night. But I'm too stubborn not to use something I paid a decent chunk for.

Lovely but the king size is too small. We have a normal king bed and me and my husband are constantly sleeping half covered. Very annoying. I returned it. Too bad, otherwise it’s wonderful and not exactly cheap.

This item says it's made in the USA but it was shipped from India. There are no labels of any kind on the product or the packaging. it came wrapped in a vacuum sealed bag and when opened and unfolded, we found live brown ticks. I believe this product is fradulent. I ordered it from Ontario, Canada - don't know if an American would have the same issue.

I was looking forward to trying out the new duvet as the reviews were positive. I did find that it was light and cool at first....but after awhile I was getting hot and didn't experience the breathing effect..!! It maybe better for the winter more than the summer.

Write up description says the duvet is washable, yet the care tag on the duvet says Dry Clean. I have asked for clarification from the company but have heard nothing back. Misleading description!
