I do like how this 350 page book has been sensibly organised, it’s packed full of useful, practical guidance and information, and features high-quality colour photos throughout to make the process of sowing, planting and harvesting healthy fruit and veg that much easier - especially for novices like myself. The text is large and clear and the techniques and many of the time-saving tips are covered in an easy-to-understand way. Of course, the big advantage of this book over the many others out there, is that it’s a ‘month by month’ guide. So, you don’t have to scratch your head and panic about what to do next, because as the weeks roll by you can plan ahead with the help of this incredibly useful guide. 😊Anyway, I hope my review has been of help and has inspired you to buy a copy of this DK publication, I think that, like me, you’ll discover that it was a worthwhile investment. This book has been perfect for me on my allotment journey!It’s got everything you need to know like when to sow, plant & harvest your crops, jobs that need doing month by month and how to spot & deter pests & diseases.It goes into a good amount of detail without being overwhelming. I’d highly recommend this book for anyone starting out on thier veggie gardening journey.

This book is perfect if you are new to growing fruit and veg it has month by month things to be done and explains clearly how to control pests, where to place each veg to get best results.

This Allotment book is above all expectations of what i expected its brightly illustrated .Very informative.Great for begginers or more competent gardenersIts becoming my bible of my new allotment.

Unfortunately I bought as a gift and they already had this book (must be good!!) but it’s well made, hard backed and full of basic information for a beginner to an intermediate allotment gardener. Descriptions are good and the pictures helpful. Would recommend.
