amazing book ...value for money .only a few things are wrong ...as in russia is writte as apart of europe ..but all in all 5 star

Beautiful book, very good quality glossy pages, a pleasure to handle. Lovely, clear photos. Just enough information to interest children but not to overwhelm them. I bought it for a 4 year old grandson, who is obsessed with flags at the moment. I think the book is meant for slightly older children, but it can be used at all levels. My grandson and I both love it. Very interesting, with explanations about the symbols of the flag, and I am learning with him !

I bought this for my 7 year old grandson who showed an interest in flags of different countries. He loved it, not just the full page pictures of flags but also the written descriptions and information of countries. A very informative book well laid out that can be enjoyed by all ages.

I was a little worried there would be too much writing to the detriment of fun learning. It turns out to be just fine. The flags are well illustrated, with some basic info about the country like capital and size. It also gives a short, but very interesting history of the flag, like its origins and what the colours, patterns and symbols on the flags represent. But not too much. One thing I find excellent, it tends to group flags within the same region by ressemblance, highlighting the differences. Great for learning, and also just for reference. Not sure who likes it more, my 7-year old son or me.

I almost didnt buy this because i wasnt able to look inside, i bought it solely based of the excellent reviews and im glad i did. I purchased this for my five year old son who has recently become obsessed with drawing flags so i wanted a book which displayed large pictures of flags and flat, not waving as some of the others had. This book is perfect for that and im sure when he is a little older he will be interested in the accompanying information also.
