Love it! All of Capa's most famous images in a thick generous sized book! Great quality reproductions too, ike the fact it's mostly images too and not filled with oodles of text. Worth buying for sure.

Just excellent
The book is stunning and covers the body of work very well. The standard price is high but it is a substantial book, don't drop it on your foot. Reviewing it is easy, if you have any interest in photo journalism or Capa, buy it.

A huge collection of Capa's images; a masterwork
A huge collection of Capa's photographs and in chronological order covering the several wars and conflicts that he was employed to cover for various magazines. Capa was little-known until some of his Spanish Civil War pictures were published and they established his name and reputation.Although the book could not possibly reflect the entire scope of his work - barely 18 years of working life until he died in 1954 - it is still a sizeable collection. The book is a heavyweight, literally and figuratively, and is definitely one for the coffee table. There are some familiar images within and many not so familiar to today's audiences although they may have been familiar to the readers of the various 30s, 40 and 50s magazines within which they would largely have featured.

Impressive book
The name does not always jump to mind, but most people immediately recognise his photos. Earlier in 2010 an exhibition of his work was held at the Photomuseum of Rotterdam. The purchase of this book allows me now to enjoy his great photos at will. The photos show an impressive combination of artistry, composition and the freezing of dramatic events at the right moment. Being an amateur photographer myself, one always dreams a bit to emulate great men. Although Capa must have made thousands of photos, the selection in the book is well balanced. The book also shows the drive of the man to be at dangerous places, ultimately paying with his life. Unfortunately the book is hard to get in shops, hence a reprint is commendable.
