Hawkeye Two-in One Team-Up
“West Coast Avengers – Best Coast” collects the first FOUR issues of this new team-title collecting several people who couldn’t quite carry their own series, along with two old issues (re-)introducing some of the cast (Gwenpool #1 and Young Avengers Presents #6 in which the two Hawkeyes met for the first time)There is a corner of the Marvel bullpen where certain styles of titles tend to congregate, along with Canadians – Howard the Duck, Gwenpool, Squirrel Girl, Hellcat, She-Hulk and the like: this comic lives there. It is a continuation of the Hawkeyes’ series, with full continuity, but with a few guest-stars called in by kate to help fend off an invasion of monsters.“We really need a team out here” somebody says, and after Kate posts a casting call Quentin Quire turns up, everyone lese having been in continuity anyway, other than Gwenpool who was visiting, and suddenly there’s a team! Then more continuity kicks in, though I’m not sure if it is Kate’s or Gwen’s, and we’re off and running. Now I happen to like the books that come out of the Canadian corner, as well as the Hawkeye series, nine volumes of which are listed inside the covers in then helpful way that Marvel have started to do of late for all the film fans who might come looking, and all the comic-book fans who can’t keep up with the constant renumbering. So, this is definitely a Hawkeye book, just now officially with an expanded cast list. The art was good, the story was good, the characterisation was spot-on for everyone, and it was entertaining. Let’s hope that the extended cast will bring in enough readers to keep it going for more thn the usual two or three issues.

Super Fun Book
Really enjoyable, fun book. Quentin is redefining fashion. Gwenpool is on form but not off the page. Kate is long suffering. America is kicking butt. Clint is defending. And Fuse is learning the ropes. Read this if you want some light hearted fun.
