Philosophy 101: From Plato and Socrates to Ethics and Metaphysics, an Essential Primer on the History of Thought

One of the best book I have ever read. I'm not only giving it 5 star for it's content but also for his cover and paper quality. There are many books at the same price whose paper quality is very poor, but the quality of this book is great. In one word Philosophy 101 is excellent choice.

Succinct descriptions about all major philosophers. Not a great read if you are looking for something elaborate. Great if you want a vertical overview, not for horizontally delving deep into philosophy and understanding .

This book shares different perspectives of great philosophers in history across oriantal and west. Best read for people new to philosophy.

Good

The first page mentions the period of Greek philosophers as fifth and sixth centuries, it should be BC. Haven't yet read the whole book but hope there is no wrong information in the following pages.

This is a great book to start with. Very precise yet touching on all important information at the same time

This is meant for beginners who are interested in knowing about some of the most common and famous concepts in western philosophy. Very well written in easy to understand language. Definitely recommended.
