This is a very nicely made leather and nylon web watch strap. It is available in sizes 16mm, 18mm, 19mm, 20mm to fit Swiss Army and most other military watches. We use better quality materials than most other manufacturers and offer it at a super price. Genuine Top grain leather and nylon. Stitched for style and strength. Water resistant. Fits Swiss Army and other sport and military style watches. .

Some good, some not so good
I bought this for a Swiss Army Cavalry watch I have.I did get it installed with effort, I like the look, and it's quite comfortable. For the price, that's good. The spring bars in these watches are shorter than normal, and thicker. Shorter, because the curved mount brackets extend inside the strap's holes. The original straps detach by stretch-pulling the leather end off the rivet head. These replacemts have a conventional long hole for a pin. However the curved bracket ends are thicker than the leather's hole, so a helpful jeweler had to poke into the leather end to stretch it. Also the pin's end, that you're working to pop into the bracket, is down inside the leather hole (tube), so you're compressing the leather endwise to get access to that spot.Removing the old pin was a bear. Jeweler ended up cutting it to remove it. I've removed plenty of those spring bars myself, this one would not compress enough to slip out. Maybe not original? Or not meant to be removed, as the proper original strap installs using the rivets - see notes further up.One strap loop was free, sliding along the strap to wherever you'd like it. Of course it would not stay put. I glued it in place with some contact cement. Right next to the fixed loop. That worked well. All said and done, I've been wearing the watch and it's good.

A good replacement for the original Swiss Army (Victorinox) wrist strap
I found this watch strap to be exactly as described and a perfect match for my Swiss Army (Victorinox) watch.I don't think this strap is genuine Swiss Army brand; I have a small wrist and it fits better than did the original Victorinox strap. There are a couple of additional tang holes for the buckle that fit wrists with smaller circumferences. I concur with the statement made by reviewer Olan Atherton, Jr, that "if you have a large wrist this watch band might not work for you."Update to original review I submitted on Jan. 4, 2010:The watch strap lasted about 15 months before the leather tore at the buckle, rendering the strap useless. The keeper loop that secured the loose end of the strap (beyond the buckle) lasted about 6 months before it tore loose. I wear this watch almost every day; still, I don't want to spend $15 every 18 months to replace the strap. I just ordered a "Hadley-Roma Men's MSM866RA" strap from Amazon and I hope to report that it lasts longer.

Good replacement band for plastic crap that fails after 1-2 years
Watches I've bought lately last for years but the bands are garbage and break after less than 2 years necessitating replacement with the same (breaking again and again) or upgrading to leather or fabric bands. The Swiss Army style band is the only replacement band that seemed appropriate and durable. It does have 2 problems with the loops shown (snugged up near end of side with buckle).FIXED LOOP: The fixed loop is a bit too close to the buckle! It forces you to bend the leather hard to remove and that will likely mean the band breaks much too soon.MOVABLE LOOP: The unattached loop is about worthless as is, since it slides way too easily and allows the end of the non-buckle band end to slip out very, very easily. I had to sew it in place (actually sewed through fabric and around, not through, the loop). That works very nicely.Unfortunately, I cannot move the near-buckle loop and I fear I may have to replace THIS band before 2 years are out because I cannot see the leather taking the every-day excessive bending required to remove the insert end from the near-buckle loop. But I won't know for a long time.

Great inexpensive option
I Have been wearing a Swiss Army classic watch for many years and am a strong proponent of the nylon web/leather watch bands. I have always thought that the bands I've bought were overpriced. So I was elated to find this great looking inexpensive band. The band is very well made and a great buy. The only caveat is that the band is very short, and the nylon web is very lightweight compared to the Swiss Army band. If you have a large wrist, this band may not work for you. Swiss Army sells both a small, and a large, this one is equivalent to a small.

product is ok...it's the service that's lacking
I ordered a Swiss Army watchband & received it in good order. However, it was too big. I sent 2 e-mails to The Watchband Store advising them of my problem & asked if a smaller band was available. I received no response. I finally called & got a man on the phone who said he'd been out of town. It was determined no smaller band was available. He told me that I could return it for credit (excluding shipping & handling). I returned the band by 1st class mail (same as how I received it). I've received no credit. I've sent a couple more e-mails & left a phone msg. no response. BEWARE!

Decent replacement band for the cost
I purchased one of these bands as a replacement to the original that came on my Swiss Army watch. It has held up OK over the last two years, which is about what I expected. I would have paid $30 or more for a OEM replacement band from Swiss Army and this was half that cost. However after two years one of the small straps that hold down the excess watch length when buckled, has broken, (it comes with two on the band, one is still functional, but wearing thin. I do wear this watch in the water a lot, so I'm sure that has contributed to it. Overall, decent band for the price, but not as durable as the original Swiss Army band.

and there are higher priced bands that I"m sure are better constructed.
I'd call this an adequate replacement for the band that comes on a Swiss Army watch. It's almost identical to the band that came on my watch. It does appear a little lighter and more flimsy .. and there are higher priced bands that I"m sure are better constructed ... but I wasn't in to spending $30 or so for a band --

High Quality Watchband at Reasonable Price
I've bought several replacement bands for my Swill Army Officer's Style watch over the years including the OEM ones directly from Victornox. This band is made well and high-quality nylon and leather and fits perfectly. The price is also much more reasonable than the OEM version. From now on JP Leatherworks will be the source of another one of these bands when I need one. FYI - I wear my watch 24/7 and even shower with it. This band has already been wet at least a dozen times and still looks brand new.
