No Side Zip, but it's a very comfortable boot. They are similar to some of the 5.11 tactical boots, just more comfortable after they break in. They are a little sticky with the shifter, but it isn't bad. I was looking for reviews on these before buying, but there isn't any so far. I really like these and would buy again. They're true to size also. I'm riding a 2024 HD Breakout
