Nice, but potentially challenging to match to a comforter
If you are looking for a traditionally designed bed skirt in a seaside/beachy color-scheme, then you might be very happy with this one, particularly if you already have or plan to buy matching bedding from the same company.The cotton fabric appears to be decent quality, as is the construction.Please note, to get this skirt looking its best you will have to either iron or steam it really well before you put it on a bed because it arrives very rumpled and those wrinkles are tenacious.The reason I did not give this 5 stars was not because of an issue with quality, but rather with its aesthetics...Once it arrived, the design ended up being way busier than I expected, too busy for a bed skirt/dust ruffle (at least in my opinion).Honestly, if they had left the stripes off the ruffles or even subtracted one of the colors, I believe the skirt would have fit into a much broader array of design schemes.Basically, pairing this with patterned comforters makes for something that is downright hard to look at; while finding an exact match to one of main colors is going to take both work and luck.You can, of course, always use it with a white comforter, but that's assuming you're OK with white bedding, which many people aren't.As it is, if you are not planning to purchase one sold by the same company, matching this bed-skirt to a comforter/quilt is going to be an uphill battle.Lastly, although the photo shows the large center fabric panel as being the same color as the blue fabric, in reality it is white, just like the vast majority of bed skirts.That's probably not a huge problem for most people, but I don't like when the photo and the product don't match, so I just want people to be aware of the difference.Looking at their other offerings, it seems the company that makes this bed-skirt focuses on seaside/nautical decor.If that sounds like what you are looking for, investing in a complete bedding set from them might be the right choice for your home.Or you can embrace the challenge of finding the right mate for this dust-ruffle and enjoy the hunt...
