Improves sleeping
I typically do not write reviews but have done a few here and there for really good or poor products. Through the years, I've had off and on insomnia where I'm awake for hours during the night. A week ago it was happening again and my normal course of actions (exercising more, staying up later, etc.) were not working. I saw an ad about this blanket and decided to give it a shot. Got the king size which was really rolling the dice since my poor husband didn't know what it was going to be like. First night we both got under the thing and hated it - husband described it like going to the dentist when u get x-rays and they put that weighted protection over you. Then after we complained about it for a few minutes, we were both out cold for the entire night. Still wasn't sure about it and we got in bed the following night and once more hated the thing. And once more, we fell asleep all night. I really knew it was working when my daughter complained the next day about the thunderstorm that woke her up - and she is a very sound sleeper where it takes a lot to wake her up. I was like, what thunderstorm?? Amazing. The other huge positive is with my other comforter I was waking up hot and sweating. Thought for sure the heaviness of this would be an issue for me. Nope, I never seem to get really hot. So here's the thing - we both still hate it every night when we get in it - we are getting used to it, but just don't like how heavy it firs feels. By morning, I don't really notice the weight of it at all. Given the great sleep we are getting, we are still going to continue to use it. I do like that it comes with two duvet covers that are washable. I washed the lighter weight one and came out pretty good. It helps that when it arrives, one of the duvets is on it as you can see how it's tied inside. Yes, the ties are a pain, but I wouldn't do it any differently as it really helps keeping it in place in the duvet. I don't know how many countless times previous down comforters never stayed in place. This one has specific holes along the edges and one on each side where the ties in the inside of the duvet loop through it to tie in place. Then has a zipper at the bottom of it once everything is tied in place. It's a pain to move it around because it's so heavy. But what can I say? The thing really works and we are willing to trade in our dislike of the heaviness for the deep sleep we are getting. Well worth the money. If you are wondering if it would work for you, I suggest giving it a try for a few nights. It definitely has worked so far for me!

Good Luck Getting Out Of Bed!
I purchased the Degrees of Comfort King Size Weighted Blanket (30 lb) and I couldn’t be happier with it. The material is incredibly soft and comfortable, and the weight is evenly distributed across the entire blanket. I chose the 30lb version so it would cover the whole bed, and it does exactly that. Once you’re under it, you definitely feel the weight in the best way possible. It gives that secure, grounded feeling that helps you relax and stay in bed. Fair warning, if you plan on jumping up quickly in the morning, good luck! This thing has you locked down. Overall, it’s high quality, cozy, and perfect if you’re looking for a true weighted blanket experience. Highly recommend!

Wonderful for these stressful times...
As someone who struggles with anxiety and trouble sleeping, I have been on the hunt for a high-quality weighted blanket, and this one definitely delivers. The blanket has made a significant difference in the quality of my sleep. It has a calming effect and helps me feel more relaxed and grounded, which leads to better sleep and less anxiety. First, the blanket is incredibly well-made with high-quality materials. The fabric on the cover is soft and easy to care for. The inner blanket is made with evenly distributed glass beads, which provide the perfect amount of weight and pressure to promote relaxation and deeper sleep. Second, the cover is removable and washable, making it easy to keep the blanket clean and fresh. I understand that earlier version of this blanket also had a cool cover, so I took off a star for that. I only got the warm cover but would have loved having the cool one for summer months too. Overall, I am satisfied and will certainly consider buying more as gifts for friends and family.

Can’t believe this is me
Like 1) works better than expected 2) has 2 covers. One is a soft, plush Velour and the other is a soft Lightweight microfiber 3) no odor to weighted filling Dislike 1) the 15 lb is heavy (duh!) I really underestimated how the 15 lbs would initially feel on my body! The first couple of mornings, after waking up, I ached all over! But it only took about a week for my body to adjust and now there are no aches or pains. The only time I am aware of the weight is when I make the bed. The reason I decided to try this blanket is because I sleep less soundly than I did even a few years ago. And when I get up during the night to use the bathroom it sometimes takes a while to fall back asleep. Also, important to note, I prefer light covers and become overheated easily. Happy to report that now, with the light cover on the filling and despite the weight, I am sleeping more soundly at night and actually feel more refreshed when I wake up. I am definitely not a morning person and usually need time each am to “equilibrate “ before beginning my day. Lately, I am up early, out of bed right away ( maybe just trying to get away from the heavy blanket?) and ready to start the day. Never thought I’d be making such changes as this point in my life. Hope others have as positive an experience as this from such an unexpected source!

A solution for those suffering from arthritis, fibromyalgia, anxiety or insomnia
I have arthritis, fibromyalgia, anxiety and insomnia. I am a 116 pound 5’2” woman. I found the 10 pound Coolmax weighted blanket perfect for my needs. I simply lie it over my comforter at night. When I sleep on my side, it provides enough weighted support for me to relax on the support of the blanket. I like the dimensions. I double fold the material over my chest, as it eases the day’s stress and allows sleep to come more quickly. I prefer the blanket off my ankles and like the comforters dimensions . I don’t like heavy weight on my ankles and my bed comforter provides enough warmth. The 10 pound blanket is not so heavy that I can’t bring it down to the couch for a movie. Be warned, your kids are going to want to get under too!🙂 The winter duvet is so soft and I am so pleased to have a summer duvet alternative. It is important to have a well fitting duvet included. It makes washing easy and the fit is perfect. I highly recommend this brand for its quality. There is nothing more comforting for a person with either pain or insomnia to have a restful nights sleep. You wake up a new person.

You Need a Blanket Larger Than Your Bed
So my experience with the DoC Weighted Blanket is mixed. Without question, I fall asleep faster, and sleep more soundly using this blanket, for all the reasons all the other reviews describe; I simply feel more secure. The reason I only give this 3 stars, however is because of the size. I bought the 60x80 Queen for my standard Queen Size Bed. The blanket only covers the top surface of the mattress, with zero overhang. So, imagine, you inbetween the blanket and the mattress; the blanket has to go up - whatever it is, 12 inches? - and back down vertically as it covers you. The blanket is no longer reaching the edge of the bed. Now add a second body on that bed. The blanket simply is not big enough to consistently cover both of us. That and since the blanket is weighted down to your body, when you turn, you tend to take the blanket with you. Suffice it to say, there is a constant struggle for both of us to remain covered all night long without some active adjusting throughout the night. I had suspected this would be a problem, since I first bought this same blanket for my son to use on his twin bed. Having the queen blanket on the twin bed, it's not so much of a problem. I would have bought the King Size blanket had it been in stock, but after watching for a week or two it never became available.

Great, except the glass beads make me cool and later warm.
This product is fantastic. I’ve slept with it for 5 nights and here are my impressions: Duvet covers: Perfect. One is a luxuriously soft blanket-like fabric on both sides (with the raised circles on the top side only), and the other is made of the same soft, light fabric sheets are made of on both sides. Both duvets are blue on one side and light gray on the other, with a long zipper along one end and several ties inside to tie to the little loops along the edges of the weighted blanket itself. The ties stay tightened very well. Weight: I weigh about 115 pounds and bought the 12-pound blanket. It feels great. When I first got in bed I immediately felt comfortable under it. It’s amazing. The amount of pressure is soothing. Size: The 48x72” size is perfect for me.. It doesn’t move around or let drafts of air in, so it doesn’t need to be bigger. In fact, I wouldn’t want it any bigger. It would be cumbersome to have it hanging over the sides of the bed, due to the weight. It keeps me warm because it stays diwn around me, but it doesn’t feel too heavy. Occasionally it feels heavy on my toes right after I get into bed. That is easily fixed by creating some height around me toes within the blanket. Temperature: even with the warmer duvet cover on, the blanket feels cool when I get into bed unless I warm up the blanket with a heating pad and turn up the heat in the room for a while before bed. Otherwise it sucks the heat out of me and I feel cold. When that happened the first few nights, I added some blankets on top. But then I fell asleep and woke up hours later blazing hot. The glass beads retain the heat longer than regular blankets, so it took a while for the blanket to cool down after I took it off me. Major sleep interruption! The same thing happened with the lighter, summertime duvet cover. So I learned to warm up the blanket before bed. I still start with an extra blanket, but I can remove it shortly—before I fall asleep. Bottom line, if you’re looking for a quality weighted blanket with two nice duvet covers, you’re safe with this one. I’m curious if beads of different materials prevent the cooling-heating problem. I can’t say.
