100% reliable
So far I have found these Mediarange bd-r 50 100% reliable with not one failure to write successfully! On close inspection they look identical to the HP with the writable label except they are half the price. I have since purchased Verbatim bdr 25 & 50 and with these i had multiple failures on the final error check. I'll go back to Mediarange.

Look elsewhere
Terrible discs. If you like spending hours to make coasters for your favourite beverage buy these. If you actually intend to burn content then look elsewhere. The first 3 discs failed - not willing to waste time attempting to burn any more of them.

Burn at 4x UDF
Wasted 3 discs trying to figure out the right settings. My Verbatim discs work without changing anything but these are very picky.Use BurnAware (free). Set write speed to 4x. It defaults to 8x, which gives you a coaster every time, so remember to change it. Set the file system to UDF, not ISO.After my 3 initial bad burns. I've been burning at 4x UDF and had 7 successes in a row. Wasted 3 discs but the world goes on...

Work Well
Gone through many cake tins of these, no coasters or issues. Very good product.

Good performance
The media is rated at x6. Despite reports of coasters in previous previews, I've experienced no coasters at all. It may depend on the types of writers used, it's essential to use writers with large buffer to cope with high data flows. Personnally I find that it takes 37min to write a 37GB file with x4 speed. At x6 speed, it takes 25min. I'm happy with the result so far.

Unreliable and over priced for the quality.
Update: Another coaster even at 2.5X write speed. Regret buying these now better to buy a 20 pack of a more reliable brand and pay the extra. At 4 failures so far out of ten discs these discs are bad value. Avoid these is my advice they finish up costing more due to so many write failure. Conclusion: rather expensive end result coasters. Initial review: No indication of write speed on discs. Discs are not great quality and as I discovered are not reliable even at 2.5X write speed. From checking forums it would appear that these are probably Memorex or Ritek manufacture. I have no way of verifying that claim and do not state so categorically. Interestingly my software calculates the best write speed for the media being used. Unfortunately this resulted in 3 coasters not because of write failure to the first layer but baulking at the second layer at 5X write speed. I strongly recommend setting write speed to 2X if you don't want coasters as a result of anything faster. Don't expect these discs to burn in 15 minutes or less, if you want those burn speeds you need to buy much higher quality discs and pay accordingly. In conclusion if you have the time and patience to wait for these discs to burn at 2X then they will do the job, otherwise avoid these discs.
