Quality Onboard Charger Port
Though offered as a factory option, my Crownline 215SS was not equipped with the onboard charger. I decided that this was something I wanted on the boat since the boat spends almost half the year laid up in storage. I purchased and installed a ProMariner ProSport 20 charger and wanted a better way to plug it in than running an extension cord out under the engine cover.I got this charger port, and to prevent having to cut the factory plug off of the charger, bought a short marine-grade extension cord and cut the end off of that. I hard wired that cord into the back of this outlet, and then simply plugged the charger into that.It installed easily (once I got over using a hole saw on my brand new boat 😱) and feels like a quality product. I liked the water resistant boot they provided for the back of the inlet. It's given me no reason to doubt that it will serve it's purpose for quite some time.

Great quality but so-so design.
Easy to install and good quality. Only problem is that no one sells a 1 7/8ths inch hole saw bit for reasonable prices. Should just be a 2”. What a dumb design. You can use an easy to find 1 3/4” bit and then just dreamed or sand out the rest. I used a drum sander on a drill and it took about 5 minutes. Other than that pretty good product. My transom is about 1.25” thick so I couldn’t use the lock ring in the back, so I used a little 4200 and the three included screws that go in the front. Seems solid. The rubber cap will eventually not seal and it will stain right away but that’s just how it goes. Another bad design choice, should be a spring loaded solid cap with an o-ring. Boat product designers just don’t get it.

It works well for a pass through power source in my Charmac stealth cargo trailer. Now I can use my battery charger on my RZR 900 trail with the doors closed.

Good Quality Pass Through Plug
I added two feet of 14 awg wire and Leviton plug. All materials were bought at HD. I purchased a Milwaukee 1-7/8” hole saw from Amazon to bore the hole through 3/8” fiberglass. One issue I noticed: plug comes with a locking nut. In my case, nut had to go on first, then install the three 5/8” screws. The nut hits the screws otherwise when rotating. This would not be an issue, if material thickness is 5/8” or more.

Wrong type of inlet for me.
Returned due to the fact you would have to cut the cord from your onboard charger to use this type of inlet and that would void the chargers warranty.
